Something new at Dollar?

3 weeks ago, when I arrived at McCarren to pick up my Dollar car, I knew to go directly downstairs (since Im a Dollar express member). As I stood in line downstairs (5/6 deep) I noticed a electronic board, to the left of the Dollar booth, with a number of names of persons who have vehicles reserved thru their Dollar Express ( I asumed). I asked a young man who was outside the booth and directing people to thier cars after they get their paperwork from the boothling, what did this mean? He asked me if my name was on the board?

It was. Next to my name was the number #14. I asked the young man what did this mean? He said "you can go straight to your car, it's in stall number 14". "Your paperwork is in the glove compartment."

Color me shocked!.

5 mins later I'm heading to the strip.

Just thought that I'd share this if it hasn't been shared before!!!
I only use Dollar - it always works that way for me
Its easy and fast and I think they've been doing it for a half a year or so. You can ask for a different car if you wish.
You just can't beat it. Takes 100% of the hassle out of the process. Let's just hope Hertz doesn't hose it up for us...

Champ - sorry I didn't realize you weren't aware of that board or I'd have mentioned it to ya. It really is a timesaver, no standing in line or waiting for the boothling to ok the paperwork.
One caveat: the first time my name appeared on the board, instead of a stall # it directed me to see the boothling. Apparently my Dollar Express records had not been updated with my renewed driver's license (something we need to do as DE members, or if our credit card is renewed as well). A little time spent online ahead of your trip will save precious minutes in Vegas!

I've been hearing about this from several people but you gave a better detailed explanation. I am Express so I hope when I get my car in Nov I'm on the board.

Do you go back to the booth for a different car or is someone walking around that area?
Sometimes you can find someone walking around but if not, try the booth. Which could mean waiting in line ...
