Southwest 72 hour sale

Check out fares on Southwest. Big sale for 72 hours. I hope you find some fares/flights you can use.
I've been living on the SW site today, LOL, and basically Booked or Re-booked many flights.

One of the flights I was in the middle of booking when it must have been sold out
for the cheap fare & attempted to rebook several times & it wouldn't let me.
Got frustrated, & Finally gave up & had to take a higher fare on THAT flight.........but the rest?
Got some super deals. Booked hubby too.

SALE is for Flights Aug. 13 - Nov. 14, with a few blackout dates. 14 day adv. purchase.

Worth spending some time, if you want to book a trip during that time.

CLV, try it again early tomorrow morning, and you may find that fare bucket you found empty has been replenished.

I wish we knew more about a possible Great Race to Rewards at Harrah's. It would be great to book Kansas City or New Orleans at these fares today or tomorrow.

We still have the Southwest Anniversary to look forward to in mid-June as well. Unless this sale is it.

I had my calendar booked for June 18th for the SW SALE, so must be early, or perhaps another sale next week?

I hear ya on the Great Race, but were not holding our breath. Figure CE got reemed on that one last year.
This year they got smart.
Well, until they took Diam tix away..........and then gave them back.........

Thx bcc, will check back on SW tomorrow.

Yup - some super deals to be had. Which is good because the Ding fares just haven't cut it for me in the past several months.

That's kinda weird. If the sale is a three-day sale happening now, the 14 day advance purchase must be something someone left in the advertising copy without thinking about it.

Last I checked my October flight to Reno was about an $80 total discount with this sale for 2 people . I had also purchased the Early Bird thing for each way for each of us.
Can I rebook the flights since I added the Early Bird?
The early bookings were non-refundable, how would I go about rebooking? Do I need to cancel my first bookings and take a credit with southwest?

Or should I just keep what I've got for $80?

Sorry, I'm a SW noobie at rebooking.
Bob, I see what you mean. You're right.

I wish the Sale went out past mid-Nov. Cuz my same flights after the sale are twice as much.
So, I've grabbed about all the flights I can during that timeframe.
A couple trips I was going to Drive........but cheaper to Fly with the sale price. I like that.

Ding saves alittle, but this sale saved me alot.
I agree about Ding. Has been pretty worthless lately. 2 or 3 cities with 1 small travel window. meh.

Good luck everyone. Grab the deals where you can!

(raisin, I was kind of confused.......but if I get your drift, I would probably cancel your First bookings
and rebook using the "credit" from your First flights. They say Non-refundable, but that just means
you get credit instead of cashback. Use your First booking Confirmation #'s to rebook your new
flights. When its time to Pay on check out, Click on "Apply Travel Funds" and thats where you put
your Conf.# in. Hopefully you'll still have Credit leftover after booking your New Sale Flights!
You can use that Credit for other flights.........you have a Year to use your SW Credit from time of
First booking. Hope this helps.)

Nice sale prices, but when I looked for the non stop that we always take--sw no long has it. It was just about perfect. Leaving Columbus around 10 am non stop getting in LV around 11 ish. No longer a flight. Only non stops leave at 6 am and 4 pm. Yuck.
I personally salute all of you in the mid and eastern regions of the country (and AK and HI), flying for so long to get to Vegas. I'm spoiled by living in Northern CA and having a short 1:30 flight at fares considerably lower than you guys. Good luck, all!
