Southwest planes with Wing-Tips & those without........

Carry-on luggage for Overheads on SW planes with Wingtips & those planes without.
A flight attendant gave me this piece of advice with carry-on bags........

Come to find out, the planes Without wingtips are smaller planes.
Your 21-22" rolling carryon bag probably won't fit in the overhead with wheels out.
Will need to turn side-ways, and takes up more space in the overhead. So fewer bags fit up there!

However, the slightly larger planes With wing-tips.........you Can put your rolling bag in overhead easily,
wheels out. More bags fit in overhead.

I had No problem fitting my suitcase in overhead on the way out (wingtip plane) but couldn't figure
out why it wouldn't fit in overhead on the way back. (flat wing, No wingtip)

So, now as I'm walking down the gangway, I will be peeking to see IF my SW plane has wingtips, or Not.
No wingtip? Hopefully you have an "A" boarding pass. lol
In any case, Will be easier to figure out.

+ 1!!

I was talking to a pilot and they call those upsweep wing tips, "winglets". They improve MPG.
Whoever "BigHogan" WAS...........appears he has been Axed from the boards.

I guess he had much more to say than "winglet"
