Just received this yesterday by email but it has been available since August 1st.
For each Southwest Rapid Rewards account you can receive 12,000 points for purchasing up to $1000 in Marriott Gift Cards. Purchased for my wife and myself. Takes several weeks before points show in account however. Limited to current inventory of cards.
If you are spending money at a Marriott anyway it looks like a very good deal.
