It's nice to know that people who really don't need the front seats get them for the extra leg room. My husband had two knee replacements and for fear of blood clots he really needs the extra leg room. Thank you for once again for reassuring me that people are evil. Keep on limping!!!:<;

FWIW.... you may want to have your husband check in at the gate counter and explain that he has a medical condition. They will allow him and 1 person to board first. You just cant sit in the exit rows but you are certainly guaranteed to get a front row seat (extra leg room).

I just returned from a trip to Miami with our college basketball team. 1 of my players had a boot on and he requested the early boarding (at my suggestion). They gave him a blue sleeve for his boarding pass which was his early board permit. He and 1 got on early ... he took the front row and I sat behind the emergency exit (SWA wont let you sit in the emergency row with early boarding-medical).

On the return flight from Fort Lauderdale..I went to the desk and requested the early boarding for him. They gave me the blue sleeve for he..and I! No problem.

Just a simple suggestion from someone who is not evil!!!
We have always done that with SWA, I appreciate the information anyway. We always put in special requests when booking the flight. What upsets me it that people fake medical conditions to board early, be careful what you wish for is all I can say. Thanks for not being evil.
Just trying to be helpful!
I appreciate it

We've seen that in this very forum.

People who say they'll buy some cheap crutches on the way to the airport,

People who will fake medical reasons for needing a free hotel room refrigerator to keep their prescriptions (aka Old Milwaukee) cold.

Sick.
And then there are those who can't follow the simple LVA rule about posting political nonsense on this Las Vegas website. Pathetic.
Believe this or not...
Some years back a young gal waiting in line ahead of us flagged down a SWA gate agent and said "I had surgery and I still have stitches. Can I pre-board?" The guy's face took on the 'OK I'm a sucker' look, shrugged his shoulders and said OK, let her pre-board.

The rest of us shook our heads in disbelief. I was tempted to say "Hey, I had a root canal last week. Can I pre-board?"
For a medical reason, they usually won't question you, or give you a hard time.

But last several flights.........the gate agent has stopped Line jumpers.

I was A-3, and when he called for A-1 thru 15...........here come A-11 cutting in ahead of me.
Gate agent stops the guy (who does A-11 think he is?) and says......."wait, I'm taking in order,
you will have to wait your turn." HaHa!

Thats been the norm I've experienced lately. Yay SW.
