I used the Super Shuttle at McCarren airport for the third time in the past six months and have been very impressed with their service. I booked on-line before my trips and used a AAA code for a discount. A round trip fare costs me $18. You provide your flight information to them and they will send you texts/e-mails when you land, giving you information where to find the shuttle and the number of the shuttle bus. You can also use your smartphone to track their shuttle when they come to pick you up at your hotel for the return trip to the airport. They limit the number of passengers on each super shuttle, and group them so that everyone on the shuttle is going to the same area. The result is that you don't spend over an hour on a "buggy" ride dropping off 20 people all over the place before they get around to getting to your particular hotel.
This last trip they phoned me when I was supposed to be picked up at my hotel to let me know that the driver was tied up in traffic and would be 10 minutes late; he arrived almost exactly 10 minutes late. I was the only one on the shuttle and the driver took me directly to the airport. I rent a car for a lot of my Vegas trips, but when I am solo I use a 3 day bus pass for transportation from the Strip to downtown and back. I hate taking a cab in Vegas, hate the regular airport shuttles because it takes forever to get to your hotel. I haven't tried Uber or Lyft yet, which I will probably try on a future trip.
The super shuttle only cost a few dollars more than the regular airport shuttles, is much quicker and a hell of a lot less expensive than taking a damn Las Vegas cab. I give these guys a big "thumbs up" on their convenience and service.
