Got an offer from SWA Visa for a business card which said I would get 50,000 points on 1st use. I've loved my personal card (havn't paid for a flight in years), but I figured the small yearly charge was worth 50,000 points.
Got my first stmt and checked my SWA point balance and the 50,000 points were added. What surprised me is that they also counted toward my Companion pass for next year. I'm now within 6,000 points of locking in the Companion Pass for 2013...and its only April. Next week I'll get my regular card stmt and I'll have it locked in.
Booked a flight for August and noticed it took 26,000 points (up from the old 19,200 points it used to cost under the award system). That 50,000 points sure softens the blow of the higher cost.
