Taxi fare to downtown from airport

How much?

Any better choices without taking to much time.

At least $25 before tip. The airport adds a $3 fee for all taxis and limos leaving McCarran.

Last October it cost us $28 plus tip--but I'm assuming the speed of traffic has some say over the final cost.

Dont take a taxi take one of the limos/shuttles. Last tiem wee took it was about $9 per person and we were there in a half an hour. THey map out the best route based on where every one is going. If you have never bee or not sure of the area it is a nice little trip review.

I actually agree with Charlie--either a shuttle or the WAX ($2). We actually took the taxi from DT to the airport because we had an early flight and didn't want to sweat the shuttle/bus time schedules. When we are headed FROM the airport, we always take one of those and I hear the new WAX is very quick, but it doesn't leave the airport all that frequently. Have a great time.

Before taking the shuttle--compare the price of how many of you are traveling. The shuttle is $8-9 per person, while the taxi's is $25-28. If there are 3 or 4 of you then the taxi is a better deal and less hassle. We had a friend take the shuttle once and it took him well over an hour to get from the airport to downtown.
