what about the return home trip can they pick up at both properties ?
Yes, the taxi can pick up at both properties.

The rule that requires taxis to use the stand only applies to unhired taxis. A hired taxi can avoid the stand to add additional passengers. It would be silly to make a hired taxi rotate through the taxi stand with the first couple on board.
Interesting. How does one "hire" a taxi in that circumstance?
Not sure what you're asking, O2bnVegas. When a passenger is in command of a taxi, the taxi is hired. When the taxi is unclaimed and available, it isn't hired, unhired.
If I understand the question. . .If I get the cab at Planet Hollywood, I can ask the driver to pick up my friends at Paris then take all of us to the airport? Would it really be okay for my friends to hop in where the cab let's people out?

I don't know current rules but one time I was in the cab line at the airport, going to Mandalay Bay. When I was up the cabbie got out to get my bags, asked me where I'm going, asked the couple behind me where they were going, they said Luxor and he said you can get in too. All of a sudden out of nowhere and undercover guy busted the cabbie and wrote him a ticket on the spot. I don't know if you are actually traveling with someone if it's ok or not. I do know at one point it was illegal to share fares, FWIW.

I'm surprised he tried that at the airport. It's another common scam. He would have dropped you off at MB and charged you whatever is on the meter (~$12) and kept the meter running while he drives the couple over to Luxor. At Luxor he will ask them for the full fare which has probably gone up a few dollars since MB. Not knowing any better, they would probably just pay it. If they complain he would act like he made a mistake and charge them half. Either way, as far as the cab company is concerned he only made one trip. He has to report the cost for the one trip and everything else he keeps for himself.
I have done multiple stops to casinos with other people, but never from the airport. I suspect this would not be a problem going to both hotels as the 4some would have this all arranged before you got in the cab.
