I visited in May, line to get a taxi was about 20 minutes, about a $25 fare to Ellis Island.
When I was in town for Memorial day weekend the wait on uber/lyft was 20min. So I checked the taxi line there wasn't any line at all at terminal 1. I just walked up to the line and into a cab, the falt rate went up a buck as online the taxi authority website said mid strip to the Linq was $27 but the rate on the meter was $28.
I was tempted to uber / lyft back to airport, but at 6am I was nervous as I never did ride share in Vegas and didn't want to end up in a dumpster. There were a couple cabs in the line at Linq and the fare back was $28 too, guess the taxi auth doesn't update their website very often :P
Does anybody know how much a taxi ride is from the airport to a downtown hotel? Also, is there a preferred route to tell the driver to take? Thanks
I'm not sure of the fare amount, but fares are now fixed regardless of the route the driver takes. So if they long haul, it doesn't hurt the customer anymore.
