Uber and Lyft

Hi, I believe both Uber and Lyft both now serve Las Vegas Airport (McCarran International).

Does anyone know how their fares compare to standard taxis, and whether they offer a preferable service? I've used Uber before in our worldwide destinations and found them to be competitive - but I've not ever used Lyft, for example. How much does an airport cab vs lyft vs uber cost say from the airport to somewhere like Circus Circus casino?

Any help appreciated.

In my experience with UberX in Vegas, it's roughly half the price of a taxi. So if you know what the price was with a taxi, cut it in half, there's your UberX fare.

You can use this link to run a quick estimate of how much an UberX will cost for your journey at current pricing. It says $18-$23 from the airport to Circus Circus via the tunnel right now. Not taking the tunnel should get than down to $13-$15 I think.

Does anyone know where the pick up area is for uber at the airport?

In terminal 1 they pick up in the parking garage by valet.
