trip scheduled for August and looks like the airport shuttles will not be in service, so will have to try Uber or Lyft for the first time. Our return flight will leave LV early in the morning, Is it hard to get an Uber ride very early in the morning.

We returned from Vegas less than two weeks ago, and at that time, Uber and Lyft drivers were strangely hard to come by. I think some of the drivers haven't returned yet, until more visitors return. Lyft has a feature where you can schedule a ride in advance where a driver actually confirms - I'd try to schedule your Lyft ride the night before. If you're unsure how to do that, they have excellent help via email.
Shared rides are in short supply expect a long wait.
You can preorder a car for a set time. We used it several times once they were a bit early and once late but within the time frame they give you. Good luck.
