uber/lyft vs taxi's costs from the airport to downtown?

Any idea what the cost difference is to get downtown?

It really, really depends on what time of day and what day of the week it is. Taxis cost the same all the time and Vegas is divided into "zones," where travel from zone X to zone Y is at a fixed price. I believe airport to downtown is $30. Uber and Lyft will be in the $25 range when it's not busy but hoo boy, during "surge pricing," it can be three times that. Which of course, makes it difficult to get a cab. (The ridesharing services used to be much cheaper.)

I prefer the Gray Line buses. They're considerably cheaper and just as convenient.

We arrived the 9th around 4:30 pm.  Afte waiting almost 45 minuted for our bags (something broke somewhere),  Uber price to the Cal (downtown) was 62.00, Lyft was 28.  We chose Lyft.  Our wait was around 10 minutes for the car.  A few years ago a taxi ran around 50 - unsure of current price.

Thanks for the reply Kevin Lewis.
