uber

anyone used this yet

I used it once I my home town, mainly out of curiosity. paid $7.24 for a ride to a spot that is about 7-8 minutes from my house. not bad at all. had I called a cab, it probably would have been at least double that, and I would have had to wait 30-45 minutes or more for the cab to get there. uber is facing a lot of challenges, and they will be in court battling for a long time. when the dust settles, they will have to charge more and it wont seem like such a bargain. enjoy it while it lasts.

I have used it a few times. It works really well. Normally only have to wait about 10 mins for a ride. Cheaper than a taxi also. Full disclosure. I also drive for uber a few times a week. Riders are friendly for the most part. Normally driving around 20 to 30 year old that have had to much to drink or going to the bars to drink. I live in the Raleigh-Durham area.
