Westcliff downtown express

Just took the express bus from the airport to downtown. The coach was modern and clean. Total trip time was 28 minutes with only a few quick stops along the way. For $2 it's hard to think of a faster more cost effective way to travel to Downtown.

Coming back I took it to Tropicana and got off to scout the strip hotels. Afterwards I took it from Tropicana to the airport in about 8 minutes. Best bit here, is that because it drops off at level zero you don't have all the traffic to fight though just to park the bus.

I would highly recommend this bus, IF it is leaving at a convenient time (only runs once a hour outside of peak hours).

My first bus ride is Las Vegas (always rent a car)!!!

thanks for the report. I am a fan of public transport, for cost, and for meeting a few non-gaming citizens. At least it's better than most of the cities where you need credentials in corrections to have any credibility. as for WAX, if i remember their shorthand, I recommend it over the 108, my old standby, unless you're staying in the hilton- riv district. I have also made the maryland (?109) trip, which will do in a pinch. Too bad WAX is infrequent. Good Luck!

Were staying at the Main Street Station. How close will it stop to there?

With public transit, I've always felt that an informed rider is a happy rider.

In that spirit, here's the link to the RTC's Westcliff schedule and map. Note that, as an express, WAX only loads and unloads at the lettered stops and a few others (marked). The stops you're looking for are marked with an "E" and a "J".

It will drop you at the Walgreens east of Fitz. So you will have to walk (roll) your luggage down to Main Street and over to MSS.

And on the way back, it will pick up between Binions and Fremont.

What route # would I transfer to at btc to get off on Main st? Do you think the Westcliff would make a drop off at Stewart after 4th?

The 106, 208, and 214 could do it. Google Maps is ideal for answering questions like this, give it a shot.

And no, that's a consequence of WAX being an express.
