I had booked Thrifty for our trip in September. Booked Ford Focus for 8 days at $256.94 over 1 month ago. I checked Alamo on Jun 19th and was able to book at Fullsize car for $200.96 for the same period. Cancelled Thrifty rental.
Today, on Jun 20th I checked Alamo and the same car with same discount codes was $289. I also checked by old reservaton on Thrifty to see their current rates. Checking the same dates for the Ford Focus was now $386!
I guess it pays to continually check. Maybe Sunday is the best day to recheck rates?
