where to park in Downtown Vegas

Has anybody good info and advice where to park the vehicle? I mean, free parking options? A place where I can validate my ticket after gambling? Where would you park ? Most places charge for parking, I wonder if there's a way to park and still not being ripped-off.

Always Valet downtown

Valet at the Fremont - centrally located   - just tip the valet. Sometimes they ask if you are staying there (mostly on busy weekends), just tell them you are. Normally they do not ask. Also, the Golden Gate (across from the Plaza) has valet service - just tip the valet.  If you are wanting to park at El Cortez, they also have valet service for the price of a tip.

Four Queens, free and easy valet, you don't need to get your ticket validated. Unlimited duration, and they don't care if you're staying there or have just come to eat or gamble. I prefer that place because of its central location.

Hi Kevin, is it confirmed : valet parking at the 4 Queens ? if I self park it's with validation I guess. 4 Queens has some good machines and I like that option. Is there no charge for valet, except at tip? and thanks.

No Charge, just the tip.   This is where the wife and I park when we go downtown.  Have also done it with self parking and the validation.  Can't go wrong either way, Boris.

If you self-park, you can go to the front desk and get a barcode hanger, which will get you in and out indefinitely. You don't need to show proof of stay or play--just ask.

Valet is always free. It turns out to be quicker than the parking garage, as you're right by the hotel entrance. I usually don't wait long at all for dropoff or pickup. And if I'm staying there, handling bags is obviously much easier at the valet.

I also feel that my car is a little more secure in the custody of the valet than it is on the fourth floir of the parking garage. While they claim no responsibility for damage to your car or its contents either way, only a completely crazy thief would molest the cars in the valet garage, wuth all the constant in and out. Not to mention that I also have zero chance of an unanticipated unsavory interaction when I use valet parking, which hasn't been the case when I use a casino garage.

The "valet garage" in the Four Queens is a couple of designated floors in the same parking garage that the self park customers use.   Did you know that?   If so, tell us how it can be more "safe" to have your car parked on one level via valet vs another there in the same garage.

Constant foot traffic and more eyes. Presumably the valet floors have more people and staff members moving around. Thieves or vandals are theoretically more likely to target a quieter area of the garage.
