Which is better lyft or uber for Late arrival at airport

I've never used either Lyft or Uber and wonder which works better for an 11 pm arrival and 12:00 midnight departure to and from Downtown. I'm sick of high cost cabs! Also, how efficient are these for rides to and from Downtown to the strip or to the Rio on a weekend night? Thanks.

We used Uber from the airport in May to the Gold Coast and back from the Orleans At 3:30 AM. $15 to the Gold Coast and $12 from the Orleans. Great way to begin a Vegas stay. Also in June we took Uber from the airport to approximately the corner of Sahara and The strip for $15.
