It's not up to the airlines, individually or collectively. Air travel is subject to federal regulation. Thus, mask mandates for domestic travel will end for all airlines at the same time. Those may continue to be in effect for international destinations for quite a while afterward.
Even after mask mandates are dropped, it will still be a good idea to wear a mask, as it will be when spending several hours crowded in any confined space with hundreds of people. Wearing a mask doesn't send me into paroxysms of agony or violate my manhood or anything like that, so I'm going to continue to do so in such settings and situations. But anyone who just can't stand it---doesn't have the mental fortitude to wear that horrible, horrible mask for a few hours---won't have to.
I expect airline flights to be one of the very last activities wherein mask mandates are relaxed.
Just announced, the current rules for airline travel will remain in place at least through September 13.
