My rates finally dropped tonight too! Hooray!

Well I know the rates quoted on reservations are calulated but it does piss you off a little. Had full size for 1 week 5/17--/5/24 total was $168.54 view reservations this am and seen the total jumped $5.44 without doing anyhting. Additional charges fell all in taxes and recovery fees. +49 cents recovery fee---+$4.90 in license fee-- and 5 cents NV Gov Surcharge. Total is not $173.98. I'm going to apppoint a CZAR to check it out.

Honestly Alamo is making me jump through hoops for $5.44. Instead of just pulling up the reservations the one I made on 4/14/11 and compared it to what I printed out on 4/22/11 they want me to fax both of them. I mean $5.44 is no big deal. My thinking is I have a fax rightr here so I will jump through the hoops just to find out the answer. I know what they are going to say the rate was a estimated rate and could change. This has happened before but only a few pennies but not $5.44 worth of change.

I was getting jealous of you guys. My rates didn't seem to be dropping at all until this past Saturday night. My rate for May 13-20 dropped from $147 to $125. And then tonight it dropped to $91 (car $36 and taxes/fees $55)! I'm using 7015309 (15% off and free extra driver) and code AD2338FDF ($30 off). I've still got over 2 weeks left - how low can it go? Total for full size car $150.80 for the week. Seems to drop every 3 or 4 days. Statred out early April Mid-size $185.00 then $173.00 then $168.84 and now full size $150.80

Linda - try using AD4027JDO for $40 off... Also try using code 7015135. It is quoted as "lowest rate plus 10% off," which I find is usually a little lower than the 15% off. It also includes an free extra driver.

My date are May 11-17, and I have mine down to $84.xx total.

The rates seem to have increased slightly in the last 2 days though.

EDIT - By the way, be sure to "modify" your existing reservation and just change the coupon code to get $40 off instead of $30. Then if the rates have trended up, you won't be subject to the new, higher rates. It will instantly take an extra $10 off for you.

Also - I used your contract ID, and it did take another $5.xx off my reservation. I am down to $78.52 for May 11-17.

My base rate dropped yesterday on a May 17-21 rental. The difference was a OUKW5 rate/product code with the 7015135 and the coupon code of AD4027JDO. Give it a try.

We have been reserving a car thru alamo for at least 2 weeks now it started at like 173.00 wtax...for May 13 thru 21st,.. and we are now at 103.00 wtax we just keep modifing are reservation as we received an email for a extra 20% off spring fling so currently using insider sign in and ID 7015820 and coupon coded AD4027JDO gives you the 40.00 off ..... try it you never know...... good luck as they say in Vegas ....

Folks, please say the SIZE of the car when you are talking about the lower prices you got.

Size car we are quoting prices for is an Economy car as we have a late arrival time 10:30 pm and have always been given upgrades as smaller cars are gone by the time we get there.... Update I checked again this morning and rate has gone down again to 98.56 .... So I say worth rechecking each day in our minds.. Codes we use are posted in earlier post above......
