Are there any topics you're interested in?

But please keep two things in mind: First, we will never post a card (or offer) simply because of the opportunity to earn money. And second, if we see a better offer for the same card than we can give you, we will direct you to it. We promise. So here's the deal: There's not a lot of travel going on these days and, as much as I like writing about loyalty programs and promotions, but I don't have a lot that's new, and I don't like posting simply for the sake of doing so.

Are there any topics that people would be interested in? I can't make any promises about what we will write, but I'd rather write something that you're interested in than choosing blindly.

The status of all the Caesars properties lounges after the 'sale.'  Who is still Caesars?  Particularly interested in Las Vegas, Laughlin, Tunica, Shreveport/Bossier.  I'm guessing they had to change "Diamond" to something else, as in Laurel Lounge (who came up with that?  Ugh.) since 'peasant level' Diamond no longer qualifies the holder for free access.  Might be too early in the virus crisis to get all the scoop, but perhaps at some time.

I have something specific: a given state mandates mask-wearing indoors. A plane touches down in that state. Aren't all the passengers who are not wearing masks violating the law? What about flights originating in such states?

In general: what will be the effect of airline shutdowns and bankruptcies? We know that many airlines will simply disappear. Will that result in even poorer service, less frequent flights, and price gouging? Or will there be a slew of bargains?

What do you think international carriers will do, given the bans that the EU is imposing on Americans? That would seem to me to be crippling for many transatlantic carriers in particular.

Do you have any sense of whether Canada will open the border to Americans, those virus-laden morons, or just leave it slammed shut for the rest of the year at least?

Thank you both. Candy, I'm going to talk to Michael Trager about the lounges, since that's his specialty.

Kevin, I'm glad that you brought that up, since I'm going to visit friends in Vermont in a few weeks and we were hoping that we could spend a day in Montreal. Doesn't look like that is going to happen.

The topic of what will happen to airlines is an interesting one, and I did an article about it on Nerd Wallet a few months ago: https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/travel/will-airline-go-business-probably-not

It's probably time for an update.
