BUYING CAESARS LOUNGE ACCESS - Worth it?

I know a lot of people manage to obtain Caesars Diamond Status, but don't really want to play at Caesars (or play at Caesars Properties much). Though, it might be convenient to visit a Diamond (Laurel) Lounge if at another casino.

Today we talk a "bit" about "Buying Caesars Lounge Access."

What's your opinion? Do you value Lounge Access enough to buy it instead of playing for it?

Used to be when you made the magic miminum tier points (15,000 right now), Diamond Lounge access was part of the deal.  Now you must have 25,000 tier points to eat/drink free, or you pay $10.

I didn't know one could pay for DL access without having earned Diamond at all, so that is a question.  I didn't think so.

For Diamond under 25K it could be worth $10.  There are very limited number of food items, not like a regular buffet.  Some have a few hot food items, maybe some meat balls or wings or something, plus some cold salads, etc.  Some have mainly salads like chicken salad, fruit, at least one hot soup, chips and dips, cookies.   But with unlimited food (tiny plates!) and cocktails it can be a pretty good value.  Just don't go expecting gourmet food and top shelf liquor.

Convenience is a factor.   Gambling and/or stayi8ng where there is a DL and you get hungry, not in for a big gourmet experience, the $10 can be a reasonable play.

Never heard of Laurel Lounge.

You can Status Match to Caesars Diamond (i.e. not have to play and get 15k tier credits to qualify, which is the way most of us always did it).

Laurel Lounge is the name Caesars now uses for the Caesars Diamond Lounges.

In essence: Laurel Lounge = Caesars Diamond Lounges (Personally, I *hate* the name change, but hey, what do I know!)

Oh, got it!  I've been away a few days, and just read your article about "Laurel Lounge."  Thanks!

No problem, I might write the Caesars Diamond Status Match article tomorrow. I am wondering if people would find that valuable or helpful.

Yes, I would find Diamond Status Match helpful.  Thanks!
