My wife and I are headed to Las Vegas in September ('22).  We are hikers.  Thinking Red Rocks National Park. We want to stay at the Red Rock Casino/Hotel.

Any deals available?

Not a chance in a trillion. Stations has explicitly said that there will be no bargains, no deals from now on (to Anthony and to others). Plus, that's a "surge" time in Vegas, with the summer heat beginning to abate and feetball season, then later NBA, NHL, World Series, etc. etc.

I'd caution you against coming to the area at that time of year, though. The statement I made about the heat is relative. It'll still be over--sometimes well over--100 degrees every day. Hiking in Vegas is better in September than in August in the same way that nude sunbathing is better in Minnesota in February than it is in January.

Red Rock is indeed beautiful and there are several great hikes. Why not come during the December Dead Weeks--the time between the big National Yee-haw and Christmas? Room rates will be the lowest they are all year and hiking conditions will be absolutely ideal. Much better than paying premium room prices and getting baked to death in September.

good advice ... thanks

Kevin has great advice.  I would suggest the perfect hiking temps are November 1.  Average high of 73, and average low of 52.

Not so fast - I've been getting mail offers from Stations recently.   Free rooms and food comps.   I primarily play at Boulder and Sunset so thats what I'm getting....but I wouldnt be surprised if the other properties are offering too.     Word has it gas prices are already taking a toll on Vegas attendance   That hits the off strip places harder than anyone.

Weather wise September is a transition month in Vegas.,...it can be 110 degrees or 80.   You dont want to hike when its 110.   Wait till October at least.
