Your credit card preference: $300 and big spending rebates? How about $150 and 0% interest on purchases?

Today's post goes in a slightly different direction than usual: credit cards. We've noticed a couple that are offering some great deals now.

1) Option 1: A potential $300 sign-up bonus, plus a ridiculous 4% cash rebate on all dining and entertainment purchases.

2) Option 2: A potential $150 sign-up bonus, plus 0% financing on all new purchases for the first 15 months.

For those of you who spend time in Las Vegas, you'll be hitting a lot of restaurants and shows. A 4% cash rebate is a great way to get something back. Of course, even if you never go to Las Vegas, you'll get all these bonuses, too. If you go to restaurants or movies or theme parks or even the zoo in any city, you'll still get 4% back. Option 1 is perfect.

Making a big purchase but don't feel like paying for it all at once? You can still pick up $150, but you can make that purchase on Option 2 and not pay interest on it for 15 months.

You can read more about them here.

Thanks!

Mike

I think "easy" if very valuable to a lot of people. There is nothing easier than cash-back. Of course, the question is always the amount of cash-back. I think once you get up to around 4%, the combination of easy and a relatively "substantial" amount back is really compelling.

Curious what other people think.

Also, for reference, you can visit the credit card page directly. There are also a bunch of other card options, and Mike Friedman can tell you the pros and cons of them all.

It's really important for those "new" to the credit-card-loyalty-points-game that they ask questions (lots of questions). Lots of different pros and cons that depend on your personal situation.
