11/08-11/16 part 3

We had planned to see Matt Goss at Cleopatra's barge, but as I feared it was sold out (glad we didn't do the All stage pass). So, we decided to go to Absynth that night as there were fix available, and we scooped 2 $20 off coupons outside the tent before paying, so it was about $120 for the 2 of us (not vip). I was surprised they were giving out the coupons, as by showtime it was a full tent.
I was worried it would be cold, as I was dressed for inside, but it was really cozy in there. We just loved the atmosphere, we had a great time looking around for our seats, however some of those seats look really uncomfortable. We were in there early enough that we could pick and choose, tho we couldn't sit where there was a piece of paper with vip on it. We found 3 barber chairs on the outside perimeter. They were raised up, and so provided a comfy, and excellent view of the proceedings.
This is one FUNNY show (but you do have to leave your inhibitions at the door). i am so glad we did not get front row seats, tho, i would highly recommend them to friends.
If I had to describe this show I would say it has a little bit of everything, and is a sort of spoof on cirque du soliel. I'm so glad we saw it!

As I said before, the gambling for both of us was just a steady drain. i have never experienced a trip as bad as this one, but I knew it was possible. This, despite $200 in free play from the Hilton, & $100 free play from Tropicana I had left over from the promo last trip.

All in all, tho, we had a great time, and I know I will be saving up for the next time. Thanks for reading, Deb
Well thanks for that report, Debra! Draining trips can and do happen but fortunately for me, that has been extremely rare. Although I can say that since I restrict what I play (especially Variance-wise), that has lowered my chances of losing.

We usually have two days of our 5/6 day stay when we don't win much of anything.
However, it can be a downer at times when the losing goes on and on without any good hits.

That's one reason why we always go to Vegas in May and October,
because of the warm weather and the pools being open.
Then we can always vegg out by the pool if we're in a losing slump.
We also stop for a movie if/when we can't get out of the gate gambling, and have always enjoyed that respite.
We've also taken a break working out in the gym for an hour or so.

Thanks for the enjoyable Trip Report.
