We are Bobby BoVegas BW (81) & Pretty Pretty Martie MJ (65) from Smithville, Texas (4 years) after 50 plus
years in South Austin. This trip was to celebrate our 20 th anniversary, we were married Sept 29 at "The Little
Chapel By The Courthouse " (now closed) in downtown Las Vegas. We stayed at Fitzgeralds in 2001, the town
and mood was different, what a difference 20 years make. We enjoy our trips & love Las Vegas and any
comments we make are not meant to be negative but just our observations.
TRANSPORTATION
We flew Southwest RT total price for 2 $236 , nice, Carter Trans from Smithville to Bergstrom (Austin) &
return, Presedential Limo from McCarron to The D in Vegas, we could do both less expensive but this way
our vacation starts & ends at home.
LODGING
We stayed at The D room 323 fully comped this was our 21st stay in this building 10 at Fitzgeralds & 11 at The
D, the room suits our needs & was quick to the casino, some noise but nothong major.
FOOD
As always we are not foodies, 1st floor coffee bar was our go to for early morning cofffee & sweets and was
taken care of by our Club One Card (comped by D).. 2 meals at McDonalds at the D (out of pocket cash) and 2
meals at Magnolias at the 4 Queens comp
DRINK SERVICE
At The D fantastic, very quick, A Plus At 4 Q good
GAMBLING
This was the best gambling for us in years and is the reason we only visited The D & 4 Q. Gambling at The D
was out of sight and at the 4Q was only fair. We returned home with a $1,500 profit. MJ was the leading winner
and carried the load. At 4Q she hit 1 4 off a kind .50, At The D she hit 6 4ok .50, 2 4ok .25, one of her 4ok .50
was 4 Aces with kicker for $2,000. She also had 4 slot wins over $300, one Buffalo Gold for $1,300. She has
a magic touch in finding off the wall slots such as Turkey Shoot, Taxi, Hoot Loops.
BW for various reasons only known to him did not play Craps, one game at Bubble Craps lost him $30. also
on his 2 3 team & 1 6 team college football parlay he did not get 1 game right losing $90, BAD BOY BAD BOY
But our skinny legged Air Force Vet did better on Video Poker, (BW &MJ both play double double bonus poker
most of the time) hitting 9 .25 4ok & 4 .50 4ok at the D and 2 .50 4ok 2 .25 4ok plus a .50 straight flush at the
4Q.
RANDOM THOUGHTS
* Check in & Security at both airports smooth, Young TSA Agent in Austin great job.
* Southwest late both ways but for price & last plane for day understandable.
* D Bartenders Super A++ Jason,Roy, Chris, Antuan
* Cocktail sercice at The D fantastic Sandy A+++
* Would have doubled profit if we left 1 day earlier, oh well second guessing again BAD BOY
* 4 Queens gambling off a little maybe try the front bar instead of Kings Bar.
* 4 Q Bartender Mike good job.
* Next trip maybe December
* Found playable Video Poker on 2nd floor D away from bar.
* No light shows again BAD BOY
* Weekday trips seem to fit us.
* This has been said many times in my TRS & other TRS, but Derek you have your nice new fancy Casino
for the young crowd Circa so turn down the volume of the music on the first floor of The D and play the
music you play on the 2nd floor us Senior Citiizens would appreciate it, by the way Derek still say you
are still doing a good job.
