3/2- 3/4 a few observations from LV trip

1. On I15 north coming down the hill to Primm Sunday 9:40am sure noticed those solar panels, wonder if at the right angle those panels could "blind" a driver coming down that hill.

2. Our 2nd recent experience at Mirage Cravings buffet (courtesy of Myvegas). It's ok, but I'm certainly glad I didn't pay $35 for this buffet, it was lacking in variety for me. There was no "wow" factor for me. The included wine was nice.

3. Main Street Station buffet for Monday morning breakfast. Used the MRB coupon so for 2 of us it was $7. We haven't been to Main Street Station for over 5 years. The breakfast items were pretty much what we remembered, but I thought the quality was lacking.

4. Bellagio buffet Monday for lunch 2:40pm. Again courtesy of Myvegas. Food variety and quality good, service good. They had about 5 different soup choices, good desserts, roast turkey at one carving station and flank steak at the other. I was hoping for some rib roast, but it was still flank steak after 3:45pm when we left.

5. Cromwell-looking at this building it's hard to believe it will be ready for the "founder" guests by mid April. Anyone familiar with hotel/casino construction in LV know if Cromwell looks like it's on schedule?

6. Drove down Joe Brown street behind LVH and the LV conference center saw the biggest assortment of very large construction equipment. I heard someone say there were over 200,000 people attending that conference.

7. Thanks to those of you who told me about the Bally's parking entrance on Flamingo. Since we had a Jubilee tower room using the valet saved us walking through the whole casino as we would have done had we used self parking. The valet told us Bally's and Paris use the same parking garage which means a lot of walking to reach either of them.

8. We had fun, left some $ so CET will be there next time we come.
I always find it interesting how peoples opinion of buffets differs. We went to the mirage buffet for lunch on a week day, and yes the wine beer is nice, I honestly couldn't rate it much higher then say the Orleans-a good low/mid-level buffet. We had the My Vegas coupons but wouldn't be happy paying full price. Decent buffet, not great.
Enjoyed your views-thanks.
I find it interesting too. I like the Mirage buffet, but I think Bellagio and Orleans are vastly overrated.
We were there Mar 3-8. The bridge from Ballys was still open and we could walk 'through the Cromwell', which is to say through the ruins of Bills. Can't imagine it will be anywhere close to ready to open mid-April. The little mock up of it looks nice, though.
