Before I get into the offers I have received, I would like to correct one item I mentioned under promotions as well as add one item.
First of all the 25% off at the Binions Steakhouse coupon is in the LVA , not the AGC book.
2nd, there is a promotion at the Four Queens where outside of the casino, the is a promotional slot machine that everyone get a free pull. I personally have never won anything, but I was told that on the Saturday that I was there in June someone won the top prize of $2,500. They must have been happy.
Offers received.
On one of my first trips, I hit the Downtown Dueces at the El cortez. BY the end of the last trip in April, I had lost back all of this plus about an additional $200. On one night I walked over to the El Cortez at about 10 at night. I planned to stay about 2 hours. I stayed to about 6 in the morning and lost about $250. Anyway, becuase of this I was offered 3 nights during the week and $25 in food. I may use this in August.
If you receive an offer from Binions, as far as the rooms, they use the rooms at the Four Queens. This is good for me as since I receive offers from the Four Queens, I can book these back to back and don't have to change rooms. I have settled on receiving the 2 night offer that includes $80 in free play. You also earn cashback and whatever food, along with the swipes at the kiosk each day.
One thing which is good about the Four Queens and Binions is that the offers are produced from the marketing department which handles both casinos you can ask for someting and they will see if they can can do someting for you. This is in contrast to Boyd gaming where all offers are produced by one location. As far as I know you can't even talk to these people.
Since I was not to receive an offer for the Four Queens until June, I asked a host that I may want to come in sometime in April or May if I get an an offer. I was offered the $200 in free play offer and three nights. I wanted to use this in April when they had a video poker tournamnet. They added me to the tournament. There is no way i could have done this at MSS. This turned out well for the casino as I lost about $900.
One bad thing that happened is that the tournament at the Four Queens was Friday thru Saturday. I asked how much you need to play ar Binions to get a room and was told about $4,800. I did this on Thrusday and Monday. This turned out to be a bad mistake because if you play any day or days of eight consecutive days this counts as a continous trip. So this worked out at Binions as one day of play, three days of 0 play and one day of play. As a result my July/August offer was reduced to 2 nights and $40 in free play. I called a host at the Four Queens, and after speaking to marketing, thay gave me the offer for 2 nights and $80 in free play which I should have gotten. Thia would not be possible to adjust this offer if it were Boyd gaming.
At he Four Queens based on my level of play, I receive a bi monthly off for $300 in free play along with $50 ifn food. Added to this is whatever cashback is received and additional food earned. Sometimes they will have offers good for only one month as they did in June which I have detailed previously.
As far as MSS and Boyd (I play the most per day here), I received an offer of 4 nights $75 in free play and $75 in food for the month of July and August. In the past, I was told that all your play was averaged out over the last 18 months to determine your offer. I don't know what the policy is now. For September and October I received 4 nights and $50 in free play and $30 in food. I don't know if this was because I played less or because they do not feel the need to offer as much since the weather is better. I was told by someone that the most free play you can receive is $100. If you get a gold or silver card on a trip you will not be able to use the food portion of the monthly offer. I also seem to be invited to all the videopoker tournaments. It will be interesting to see if I am invited to the big tournament in March.
At Boyd you cannot use two offers on one trip.. For instance if I used the offer for a video poker tournament, I could not on the same trip use the offer for the free play and food. They require a 72 (3 days ) period between offers. So if I wanted to use the offer for the free play and food. I would have to stay somewhere else for at least 3 days.
I know someone who plays about $4,000 a day and they receive an offer for 2 nights and $10 in food. There alre all kinds aof offers in between up to the 4 nights and $100 in free play. My average is about $13,000 a day.
Whatever your offer is don't feel bad if you think it is low. I know someone who plays $40,000 a day in videopoker at the Gold Coast for 4 days at a time. You know what there offer is? 0. They ask a host an get a room comped and are given a large comp to the steakhouse. All of their other food they have to use their points.
Nest up is food.
