Some people are lucky, some people are unlucky, and they know which thet are. I consider myself unlucky. When I go on a trip if I break even or loose just a little, then that was a great trip for me. As an example someone told me that on a trip back east, he got three royals in three days all delt. I have played well over half a year since i started going to Las Vegas in the mid 1990's and have been delt a royal just once.

If you like to hear about big wunners , than you can skip this thread.

This report is based upon the first 26 days in Las Vegas from February to April 2018.

When I play I don't always play the very best games that return the most. Lifetime I am behind on both full pay double bonus and full pay deuces wild.

Most of the play was 50 cent JOB at the Four Queens (a very small amount of $1), and Main Street Station as well as 25 cent 5 and 3 play bonus poker at Main Street Station. In addition I played some 25 cent full pay double bonus poker at the Four Queens and MSS, as well as a very small amount of 50 cent at MSS. Some 25 cent NSUD at MSS. At Binions I played the 25 cent progressive bonus poker (when they still had them). on my side trips at the El Cortez I played the downtown deuces. At the Plaza I played the 25 cent bonus deluxe and the full pay 25 cent joker machines. At the Orleans, I played the 25 cent double deuces and the bonus deluxe. At Teaxas Station I played a small amount of full pay 25 cent deuces.

i also made small sports bets of about $20 at at a time broke even on these. I also play $1 wheel of fortune ansd 25 cent wheel of fortune. I usally spend no more the $20 at a time, and don't play these every day. I find this more enjjoyable then the people who spend money on a regular basis on the lottery. On these machines I broke even or lost a little.

For all of my video poker play the results were not good. For the 26 days in played about $310,000. I hit one 25 cent royal on a five play bonus poker machine at MSS. Of the 26 days there were only 2 or 3 days that I made a profit or were even. Breaking the days down into trips at each venue Main Street, Binions, and the Four Queens, the were nine separate stays. I overall lost on all of them. My total losses were in the $8,500 to $9,000 range. If not for the cashback, promotions, coupons and scratchers, I would have lost over $10,000.

On one three day trip to MSS my losses exceeded $3,000. My expected losses ( this never works out to what it should be) should have not been more than $1.000 or $2,000.

In order to acheive this overall result, you need to not get your share of royasl as well as miss out on your share of four of a kinds. Some of the lowlights of this were going in for over $750 on quarters on not getting a four of a kind. Someone later told me that he knew of someone who lost $950 on quarters without getting four of a kind so I suppose it happens. I played on a session at Binions on the 25 cent bonus poker progressives whre i played though about $4,8000 all in one sitting. For some reason I counted how how many times I got dealt 3 of a kind, and how many times I converted these to four of a kind. I got dealt three of a kind 83 times. If you convert 4 of these this would be above average. 3 would be below average. 2 would be bad, 1 pathetic. I converted 0 of these. I did get dealt special 4 of a kind twice, but this turned out to be just another losing session.

I now have more funds, so I don't start to worry when I get behind $1,000 like I used to do. However my gambling funds are not unlimited, so If I did not have good trip the next time, I may have to curtail my gambling trips for the year.

Next gambling part 2 9 days in June, the return of the King and a surprise ending.
