Background Bobby (BW) & Martie (MJ) are going to Vegas to celebrate MJ's 60th Birthday, this is our 3rd trip this year and our 50ish trip in our 20 years together, however this our first time to stay downtown in 13 years.
Sunday Nov 8 Up at 2 AM (Ugh) for a 6:45 AM flight on Southwest. Happy Birthday Martie, Marilyn our favorite Cabiee picks us up for our trip to the airport, quick check in and trip thru security (MJ gets the express trip thru security) we arrive at Gate 11 with boarding passes A42 & A43, purchase breakfast tacos at Nuevo Leon. (fair) Get seats in right side row 8 window and middle seats, a full plane so aisle seat is taken, leave Austin 5 minutes late and arrive in Vegas on time, ride tram to pick up luggage after a short wait.
Grab a cab for our trip to the 4 Queens, Cabiee has lived in Vegas for nearly 50 years and was brought to Vegas to attend UNLV on a golf scholarship as was his 2 brothers, he still has a 2 handicap and plays as often as possible. Since we arrived at 7:45 AM on a Sunday morning he took us on a direct route we had never taken before, we saw parts of Vegas for our first time, the trip downtown and the cabbie were very entertaining and interesting.
