So much for tomorrow!
Over night our a/c just seemed to blow but not get cool. We woke up and got ready for the day. I left a note with our tip for housekeeping asking her to close the drapes after cleaning since our a/c wasn't working well. I would call maintenance when we got back to the room. We went to Le Buffet, used our LVA coupon for their "holiday brunch". Had a very nice breakfast, well worth the discounted price. I pretty much go for the ham @ the carving station, something about it reminds me of the ham my dad used to make when I was growing up. Everything else was good and the mixed berry crepe was worth the wait in line. We went back to the room tom find that housekeeping had reported our problem and they were in the process of replacing our thermostat, funny, we had the same problem @ home about a month ago!
Went out the front door and head towards IP, hubby had never been there so off we went. Between Ballys and Paris were some stands set up selling Miller High Life for $2/can. Had my heart set on a Rita from margaritaville so we kept walking. Walked through Flamingo and sat down @ the bar and ordered 2 over priced margaritas. We visited with the bartender while getting brain freeze, I mean, enjoying our margaritas. Off to IP. We walked past the shell of O'sheas and into IP, just as I remember from my visit 10 years ago. We went to the back and I saw a penny Alice in Wonderland machine I'd never played before so I put $20 in. Hubby sat down @ a quarter machine next to me. We played for about a half hour then decided to buy in for $200 @ let it ride. Our dealer was older than dirt and we proceeded to lose our money at a very SLOW pace. We went through several of their dealertainers, of which I think 2 actually sang, the rest lip synced. We decided to go back to Paris to maybe play some roulette. As we walked back on the sidewalk between Ballys and Paris I noticed the signs on that Miller High life tent, they were raising money for the military. Then I saw him, the high life guy! He was talking to a few guys so I told hubby to wait, I wanted my pix taken with him. A photographer that had been taking pictures around the tents came over and asked me if I wanted to have my picture taken with him so I said for sure! The other guys left so I went up to talk to him and the photographer and my hubby snapped pix. I told him we watched Body of Proof all the time. Just as I was taking hubby's picture with him they announced that he was there. It was nice that we were able to beat the crowd.
Went back into Paris where I put $20 in the new Grease slot, got a neat bonus and cashed out @ $35, we'll take wins anywhere we can get them. Pretty much just piddled the rest of the afternoon away, went to Caesars to see nephew before he left, he was leaving early Sun. a.m.. Wandered around Caesars, met a few of nephews friends and went to Payard to get some of the macaroons that Wolfgang Puck said are the best. NOT what i was expecting, I think they were French and they were weird. Give me a good coconut macaroon any time and I'm a happy camper. We left nephew with his friends and went back to Paris. We were hungry so we went to Le Cafe St. Louis. Service was slow @ first but improved through dinner. We both wanted salad and should have split the Caesar but we didn't and were presented with 2 huge salads. Hubby had burgundy beef and I had the rotisserie chicken. The meal was excellent and we used our TR points. Maybe this will be our first night restaurant now. Went up to the ATM in the room (aka in room safe) to re-stock our wallets then found mynpit boss friend again, he was @ Paris that night,@ roulette, so we sat down. We played several hours and pretty much broke even @ roulette, but sadly I had lost what I won the night before. A stop @ triple double wild cherry was not prosperous this night. Off to bed in our VERY cold room in our very comfy bed.
