8 Days in Paradise pt 2

Got up fairly early Saturday morning and did (again) what everybody does when they first get to Vegas.

We sat through a Wyndam time share sales pitch. Why would any sane person do this? I can't answer that; but we did it to get the $150. bucks towards dinner at Bally's steakhouse. Anyway, 2.5hrs & 3 sales people later I'm up 150, and didn't buy nuttin'.

We hopped in the car and drove the 1mile over to Paris. Played slots and won a little; moved over to RapidRoulette and lost it back. So I left Paris up 5 Heinekins. Good start to the day in my mind. My wife recently started a saltwater fish tank so off to the Mirage we walk to stare at the fish tank.

After fishviewing for a bit my wife hears "Life of Luxury" calling her. I'm not much of a slot player but I sit down next to her, pop in a twenty and tap tap up $450.00. I don't play slots often but when I do I always play max bet. In this case it was 2.40 in a penny slot. Plus I got 2 more Heinekin. Played it down to 400 gave the wife 100 and moved on.

After this we went to TI and played a few slots not wining but not really loseing much. Then we found a .25 WOF and hit it for $200. ( and a Heinekin)

That was about it for gambling this day. We walked back to Paris through the Forum Shops and Ceaser's.
Getting hungry, we decided to eat at the Flamingo using an LVA coupon. I was glad it was only half price.
I used to like this buffet but it has dropped like a rock in my opinion.

Now maybe I shouldn't reveal this part but about 9pm I catch the Wyndam shuttle to Harrah's walk to the Venitian/Palazzo with the sole intent of judging the talent going to the clubs. It's kind of a hobby of mine. Wowie Zowie they didn't dress that back in the 70's. Now don't go labeling me a raceist, sexist, bigoted homophobe. I am all those things but I don't like labels.

Next up a semicomped 2nite stay at THEHotel.
Very interesting! Thanks for Part 2 and congratulations on your nice hits so far!

Looking forward to reading more of your 8 days of adventures!

As for the Timeshare stuff, you could think of it as being paid $60 per hour in comps for listening to their Shpeil. This is something about LV, there is all kinds of "entertainment" for people and so listening to a Timeshare presentation is some people's idea of entertainment. But with me, I'm all for doing what you can to make money or comps and if a person is okay with whatever it takes to accomplish this goal, then I say "More power to you!"
