I live in North Carolina and my granddaughter from California came to visit.
On Saturday the 9th of August I flew her back home to Orange County.
I then caught the first flight from SNA to LAS. Arriving about 2 PM. Have 6 hrs. before heading back for the Red Eye to NC.
Being the low roller I am I got a 24 hr bus ticket and headed to Downtown for a small coupon run.
Issues I had
Golden Gate said they no longer have the Shrimp Cocktail
In my stupidity I thought the Main Street "Station" would have the $5.99 burger deal. OOPS my bad
I was starving so I amended my route and went to the Downtown Grand for a hotdog and beer. Hunger fixed.
Bought into some Bonus poker at the bar for $30 and after dropping down I hit 4 5's cashed out at 37.50
Went back to the players club and got my free play and put $20 in plus free play hit 4 Jacks and cashed out at $50.
Headed to the Black table with my $10 match play (I'm a low roller so no $50 for me). Bought in for $20 hit the match play and decided to hang around and see what would come of it. A great table with really friendly people and dealer. Had a great time and ran my stake up to about $160 before cashing out at $115.

Now I seldom play roulette usually only to pacify my wife when she wants some company.
But this wheel was calling my name I walked away twice before going back.
Put my $25 along with the $25 match and added the $5 chip on Black and it hit.
Cashed and threw the dealer his tip.

Checked the slot club for my $10 slot play which is good on VP
Sat at the bar got a Heineken and played my free play with a $20 buy in on VP and right then I'd had enough beers that I can't remember what version of VP I played. I think JOB.
Played until my beer was gone. Cashed out for $36.25 another win.
Wanted to hit the D but time was getting short so
on to El Cortez. Had never been and hear so many good things about it on the weekly videos.

Another Heineken and got $10 in match play.
Turned it into $37.50 on a 50 cent Bonus Poker game that looked a lot more like a JOB game than a BP game???
It was time to head back somewhere to catch the bus back to Harry Reid (I like McCarron name better)
That was a trip in itself as I tried to use MAPS to direct me to the Bonneville Station and it had me walking in circles.
But I finally got on Garces St. and found the terminal. Next trip I have to do a better job with transportation.
or maybe less Heinekens when I have to find my way back. Ha Ha
All in all it was a good trip came out about $125 up just on the coupons.
My luck at the DG BJ table boosted me over $200 winners for a day trip.
So glad I decided to become a member of LVA and use the MRB on my trip.
