John (Eminem) wouldn’t stay Monday night so NN (That's New Norman) got his sons truck and we caravanned there at 8am Sunday morning… John proved to be stupider than I ever thought by following us into an EasyPass line- . He doesn’t have easy pass- after a lecture by a policeman, John got through the Verrazano Bridge scot –free (A $13.00 value).

We had a clear day and no traffic- stopped once for gas ($3.43 per gallon)
Scored a Jacuzzi (for two) suite at Claridge (Old hotel Bally’s/HET took over w/ a inside walk way) and it was available at 11:15 am/ dropped our bags off/ filled up the fridge w/ my home stash of waters, dwrinks (LOL) and Starbucks frappacinos. Poured snacks on table- lets play!
The room is like a classy better Luv Tub room from I.P. but this was w/ red accents ala Paris. LED TV/ the Jacuzzi is closer to the (new plushy) bed/TV than the bathroom-. One wall is that wavy glass… 3 steps up to Jacuzzi w/ gold rails, nice score. No view; 9th floor.
NN wanted to get his $100.00 FP so we went to Caesars- pretty much stayed playing at Caesars near Toga Bar the whole time. He tanked on $ BP and a double diamond.. while John found the Poker Room, I played nickel 5-play Double STP- NN was just walking up when I hit a 10X on Joker Poker DEALT 4 ACES- 4OAK pays 100) the joker never came but I got 5,000 nickels ($250.00). I got the 10X 3 times within 30 minutes w/ something playable even pairs..too bad it was not DDB.

And something else penny machines all gave me over $400.00 hits during the course of my weekend- all playing $1.60- not max.
One hit in a bonus round was $414.00 by itself.
I sat next to NN at his .25 cent single-line DB; the progressive was $1,746.00- hit aces w/ a four and quad fours- cashed $550.00 after using 2 or 3 twenties stake.
NN tanked- We drove in John’s car to WhiteHouse subs- excellent!
Then at Borgata, where I put John up- every machine was taken, the place was jumping- got in Black label line, the room was ready. John needed a nap and shower so he gave us his car to drive back to Bally’s. We tried $120.00 in CLV’s triple jokers (and my $30.00 FP) but nothing played out- I was overwhelmed at how crowded Borgata was.

NN wanted to go back to Toga/ I stayed at Bally’s.. those blue bonus triple quads in dimes in the hot area??? Got a Club Royal on the bottom line- I was so shocked… needed 2 cards and got ‘em! Also, got 3 quads for 600- all dimes. Amazing.
I almost NEVER do this-- a woman came by and asked for $2.00.. saying" never again".. she came w/ a girlfriend who is drinking and won't leave. She needed another $2.00 to get home. She kept saying "never again"- she was late 30's/early 40's.. I first said "Nope" and turned back to my machine.. she looked distraught, tired and didn't smell of booze . She pleaded a bit more
and what the heck....?
I gave her $7.00 and said "Get home safe, dear." She sincerely thanked me.
Who knows if it was a scam.?

Long day, we had walked from Ballys’ Wild West and Caesars back and forth at least 10 times- by 7:30 we got 2 slices of pizza and watched the Grammys from the Jacuzzi.
I was up $800.00.
Slept well- 6 hours/ coffee in-room. Called John at 8:15am. He took a cab to Bally’s S6X by 9am and we enjoyed Diamond first serve while the wait line was at least 40 people long.. omelets, berries, cereal and toast = $65.00 comp dollars.
John went to Caesars Poker Room,
I tanked easily losing 5 or 600 on everything so I used a house phone at 11:30am to call the Spa- making a Salt Water Taffy scrub appointment- Liz was my technician . I resented being there but it was better than losing- ahhhhh- the scrub was the right thing- sadly, Liz told me that Tod, my forever masseuse was diagnosed stage 4 brain cancer and sold his Camero as he can’t see anymore- he’s got 3 kids and a wonderful attitude- remains positive- This guy is something else, boy-ish, healthy—and he never aged in the 15/20 years I know him. So shocking.
I text NN from the Spa- did he want to meet in the room, say 1:20pm and go to Sketchers Outlet w/ me? He did- We bundled up (Thankfully, he hit aces and a few quads to make a come-back Yay!) and walked in the sunny cold. We both got a pair of shoes (His treat!) and walked back to the Boardwalk to find the Chinese massage place. I insisted on us both getting 40 minute deep tissue massages- yes, AFTER I had one at the Bally’s Spa w/ the scrub. Both of us were in heaven- tipped them $10.00 each/ Best use of a hundred. ever..
The guy who rubbed NN said “He strong man!” Yes, he’s all lean hard muscle (and a good soul). I was on cloud 9 and happy-stupid afterwards...wonderful feeling to be like melted butter. all knots rubbed away..
Back at room,
changed into our new shoes, I noticed how interested NN was in the word: Steak.. The Reserve was closed but Caesars Mortons was open. I texted John our plan and he really wanted in- oh well…OK.
we had 40 minutes to play before our 5:15 reservations. I know I won, at this point, I forget on what..OH! Nickel 10-play Ultimate X--DDB! Got aces (no kicker w/ multiplier) for 2,400 and 2,000 w/ kicker- amazing. 3 play and 5-play were not paying. I HAD to go to nickels.
Anyways,
I had never been to Mortons- except for that it was dark in there.. the meal was excellent.
We had had rib eye steaks, mac & cheese w/bacon and hash browns- those boys can eat. The Bill was $198.00 (Comp dollars), the boys tipped cash.. then John wanted to join us for cappuccinos and dessert at the DL—it was comical actually. Our 36 year old tag-along son.
Good thing we’re not honey-mooners…
When the DL lady saw the Mortons Brown Bag, she did not charge me for John as I told her we only came for coffee and desserts. Nice, huh? He left to go play at Harrah’s poker room and drive home.
I was going to walk the left-overs to the room and NN wanted to walk w/ me- it’s a long walk to The Ridge and when we got there (7:30pm) neither of us really wanted to leave so.. another Jacuzzi and I felt bad for him but I HAD the watch The Bachelor- Bored to tears, NN fell asleep early. I had to see if Courtney got a rose (She did)
Lights out by 10pm.
We woke up close to 6am.
Valentine's Day ( I do not care for this holiday..it's a scam. If you love someone, tell them daily)
Surprised NN with some Pure Figi Coconut lotion from Qua Spa he likes for his head and face. His own.. he likes using it at my place.
Asked for a 1pm check-out (no problem) Left the room by 7am – Tried penny machines @ Caesars.. they were just taking..
Had some more redemption at Ultimate X—we both got dealt quad 10’s (side by side) odd, huh? on KB JP with multiplers , this time I was playing dimes.
Cashed out ahead $454.00. Whoo-Hoo!
I so love winning on games I adore.
Tried dollar BP- after 2 quads, cashed out even….played some Aces & Faces- in AC, this game pays 10 for 2 pair. We were done….ate our cold steak w/ bread on the bed and packed up.
Easy drive home by 2PM.
How We Did:
After tips and the hundred for the Boardwalk massage/ I was dead even financially...a win in my book.
NN dropped a few hundred but he said the whole trip was well worth it. It beats working.
John also broke even- he likes to play poker but not at Borgata.
