Day 4-Monday-Palms/Hard Rock/Ellis Island
No pool this morning. Up early and off to the palms for Spa day. I have couples massage scheduled for noon at the Drift Spa. In my research I have found only two spas with a coed area to relax in before or after your services. Last year we went to South Point and had couples massage and spent a few hours enjoying the sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. We had a great day together and loved the South point spa. When I saw a post by Westie for a travel Zoo offer at palms or Palms Place I jumped at the chance to spend another day together being pampered. Hubby is up for a massage but said he is not interested in any of the other Foofie services. When I called to make our appointment I explained hubby is only interested in the massage but could I use his second service. They said no problem and we are scheduled for 12:00 massage, I have a 1:00 salt scrub, and 1:30 Pedicure. We check in an hour early to spend time together; I go to the ladies locker room and tell hubby I will meet him in the coed area. I wait, and wait and wait, no hubby. Finally at noon in the attendant gets me for our massage and I ask hubby what happened? He said his attendant showed him everything but the Hammam and told him to wait in the lounge until his massage. The massage is great and we are relaxed, kiss hubby and I am off to salt scrub. I am now relaxed and glowing and have ten minutes to wait until my pedicure so I wait in lounge, and wait, and wait, at 1:40 I walk around looking for the locker room attendant. No sign of the attendant. I walk out to the front desk in my robe and no one. I head back into the ladies locker room and make one more pass looking for an attendant and still no one. It is 1:50 and I am over it. I head into shower and get ready. The plan was hubby would play while I had finished up and got ready and we would meet up for lunch. After my shower and get dressed I grab my phone out to of the locker and get ready to do my hair hubby text messages he is just jumping in the shower and to let him know when I am ready. We get done about the same time and meet in the lobby. I let the deskling know what happen with my pedicure and no one came to get me. He looks at the times still open and they cannot get me in until 3:30. I don’t want to wait and just want to go to lunch. They call in a manager who apologizes and gives me his card and said I just need to call the next time we are in Vegas and he will comp a pedicure anytime I like. All in all it was a great massage and scrub so I leave happy. We leave gratuity for the full price of services received, we always make sure to tip well, especially if I am able to get a deal.
Lunch at Garduno’s, we have been here for Sunday Brunch but this is our first time to try their menu. Lunch was amazing. We both had the combination plates, I had tamale, pasole, shredded beef enchilada. The pasole was outstanding; it was as good as anything I have had in New Mexico, enchiladas with both red and green sauce, and a huge strong margarita. Hubby had shredded beef enchilada, Chile relleno, and pork tamale, he said everything was fantastic.
I purchased the 40 for 25 slot coupon for hubby, and the 50 for 25 coupons for myself from the internet, I am a new sign up at the palms. Quick trip to the players club to get the slot play loaded and off to play. We played for a few hours and turned our $50.00 buy in into $89.00 in cash. We both try the $10.00 match play on roulette and lose; we still walk out with $69.00 in cash so it was a great afternoon. Back to park the car at Wyndham and head off to Hard Rock.

Quick walk to Ellis Island and settle in at the bar to play some VP and use the 4 free drinks from ACG. We both still have free play from our last trip to Ellis Island to play. I play through my free play quickly and wander drink in hand to the roulette table. I buy in and hit one of my numbers right off the bat, tip the dealer and hit again. I play down my stack of chips and trying to avoid heading to degenerate gambler territory cash out up $29.00. Find hubby and he is still playing so I sit down and play a bit longer. I had given one of the bartenders our coupon and the drinks were plenty strong so we stayed and played until I started to smell the BBQ. Before we cashed out the bartender came back to drop off our coupon and let us know we played enough and drinks were comped. The BBQ was great, very meaty ribs and great cole slaw. We only managed half and took the rest to go. I love having a fridge to keep leftovers for late night snacks. We head over to the players club to load new free play on our cards from the ACG. Hubby's pin would not work so he had his pin reset and he still has his first free play so we leave each up $20.00. Great night, great BBQ, great gambling, and we have free play for later.
