Adventures of a Bargainista in her happy place Day 7

Day 7-Ellis Island/traveling
Up early and breakfast at Ellis Island, Hubby had Meat lovers skillet and I have lumberjack breakfast. Both were great and we barley put a dent in our meals. Played through our free Play, I go up and down and finally cash out turning my free play into $10.00, hubby cashes out and turned his $20.00 in free play in to $18.00 cash.
Make the required stop at Lee’s to restock the bar at home and we are on the road. Trip home is fast and we make it in time for hubby to make it to football practice. We had a great vacation, great meals and made time this trip to relax. With just a little effort we were able to save $1299.00 and only spent half of that amount. People ask me when I am planning another trip to Vegas really Vegas again aren’t you sick of it yet? I don’t think I will ever get sick of Vegas, where else can you see great shows, have great meals all for a bargain. We really don’t gamble much but use it only as a time killer in between our next adventure. I will probably never be a diamond or any other next level tier at any other players club but I will play with a goal in mind. CET has provided enough perks to keep us in their properties but we are still not on the radar. I will be watching for the end of the great race promo and will be looking for our bonus 15,000 points thanks to the help of mom and our day trip to Laughlin. I am already planning our next weekend in early October, we will be in St George for the Marathon and Hubby’s favorite hockey team Colorado avalanche will play an exhibition game at MGM. This may be our only change to see them in person so we are looking forward to the game. I can’t wait.
Thanks for your TR! It seemed to be a very relaxing trip filled with lots of great bargains. You worked it very well! Wow! Great savings!

Too bad about the Spa service with the pedicure and the show coupon vip deal. Otherwise it looked liked a fun adventure.
Thanks for the great TR; sounds like you guys had a great time! I love Kevin Burke but you were smart not to fall for the VIP tix scam. That showroom is TINY, w/uncomfortable tables and chairs, and it doesn't matter where you sit as you're only a few feet away. I've seen Kevin as well as Larry G. Jones there and they always moved people up to the front to fill seats. Good, generous bartender though
Loved your trip report. It was so nice that you broke it into days.

I agree with you, I never get tired of Vegas. I would go once a month if I could. You are fortunate that you can drive there. We are close enough to drive to Atlantic City, but it does not offer the same ambiance as Vegas, so we don't go often.

I am a coupon lover/user also. I don't eat anywhere unless I can use a coupon.

I'll look forward to your next trip report, thanks for posting.

Wonderful reports...thanks so much.
Enjoyed every word. What great planning!
Well thanks for all of the reporting, and I'm happy about all of your good coupon use and that you could have some winnings as well!

Thanks for writing the day by day reports. Made for enjoyable and convenient reading.
Seems you don't let Vegas get the best of your bankroll!!! Love mexican food, will have to put T&T on my hit list. Hope to see Absinthe, only if extended into next year though...We enjoy shows also!
Walking in 113 degree temps...sorry, but that is STILL too d*mn hot, shade or not.
Really enjoyed the read. Thanks.
You are a Master Coupomamist/ Congrats!!!
Great read... lots of saving and tons of fun.
wonderful!! thank you
phinphan,Thanks for the report
Nice job using coupons to get the most out of your trip.
I encounter the same questions whenever I start planning a new trip. People ask "you going to Vegas again".
What they can't understand is if you manage your gambling Las Vegas can be one the best bargain vacations anywhere.
My biggest non gambling expense is always airfare. I need to move to an area where I can drive. LOL
