Yippee for you, Patricia!  I was just looking at restaurants online, including at Paris/Mon Ami.  Outrageously more high than my last time there.  Oh, well, special occasions.  Glad you had coupons to help with that.  Congrats on being so far ahead!

Yeah, every time I read a glowing review about the Fantastic Floozie restaurant at the Golden Commode Casino, I'm tempted...and then I go online and find that a plate of ravioli is $37, a side salad $19, a beer (domestic) $17, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. And if I'm in Vegas, I'm in one of the food capitals of the world, with plenty of great bargains to be had....so Moan On Me Grabby, or whatever it's called, doesn't tempt me. But God knows, there must be enough people out there who don't mind.

I think it's a desensitizing effect. You pay too goddamn much for everything, the 25th or 50th gouge of your visit doesn't even hurt any more. $26 for dessert? Garcon, bring it on!

What a great birthday trip.  If you are going to park at the MGM properties get the MGM credit card, witch bumps you up to Pearl and free parking.  We used to Love Mon Ami for the open face shrimp salad for lunch.  I don't think they have it anymore, but was fun dining outside and a great lunch.

I'm still gonna have my Blueberry French Toast and their bacon at Mon Ami, price be damned.  Maybe it sounds so high to me (well, it is) 'cause hubby and I would share one order of each, plus coffee each...everywhere the money is made on coffee, soda, cocktails.  Share meals not for being cost conscious but because the portions are so huge...why not?

Special times sometimes call for 'what the hell' if it isn't depriving somebody at home of a basic necessity.

Sounds like you had a great time, Patricia.  Did you ever make it to the Westgate to see the Manilow show?  I seem to remember you made a comment about eating lunch at the Westgate Buffet, then going to Sahara for some slots and then back to Westgate for Manilow.  

You might have decided against going to Manilow when you found out that the Westgate Buffet was closed.

Anyway, thanks for the daily update on your trip.  Much appreciated. 

Yes saw the show.Surprised that it was pretty good.Some of older entertainers a bit slow.Not in his case.We also went to Sahara $10 free play ended up with $50.Total.After the show back on Monorail stopped at Flamingo.Had dinner at the new Cuban restaurant.My son had the chicken.He said good.I had a shredded pork.I was disappointed,not my style.Full price no coupon.Not sure it will make it I have comps for Flamingo next year so will see.I think what las Vegas needs is to bring back more coffee shops.I really don't like food courts.Please if you are going to Las Vegas near future see my note about Ellis Island half off meals.Thanks for your kindness
