Another Pauldixon pre-trip report

I really enjoy planning Las Vegas trips and today finalized an outing for my wife and I in August.
I was able to use some myvegas rewards to book Allegiant Air (free carryon and free seat assignment) so the total cost was just over $300.00 each. The Bellagio sent us an offer with three nights, $50 free play and $50 resort credit which I booked. I also found out since I am "Noir" with MGM that they will send a limo to pick us up. I am interested in trying the Prime steakhouse at Bellagio. I've got a fair number of credits built up there although I am open to other suggestions from the LVA membership for an elegant meal.
We are concurrently booking two nights at the Gold Coast for some free play and food as well.
I did well on the triple plays in the HL area at Gold Coast so we'll see if the mojo persists.

It looks like spinpoker, $2 JOB or $1 BP are my best bets for VP at the Bellagio with some green chip black jack thrown in for the fun of it.

Looks like a combined (gambling and everything else) total budget of about $10K which should make for a great three days.

Now I just have to sit tight and read others trip reports until August 7th.

Cheers

Paul We just returned ( May 31- June 5), will post a trip report next week. Already thinking and planing or next trip, maybe for our anniversary Sept 29. Keep your winning streak going, looking forward to your trip report. Bobby
Thanks Bobby and good luck on your trip as well- looking forward to the trip report.
Paul, sounds like you've done good planning already. You probably already know this, but:

Since you are Noir, you should have no problem requesting a suite with a Fountain View at Bel.

With your Noir card you get, I think, 40% off purchases in their retail shops inside the hotel. Most of their clothing is what I call "not cheap but inferior", but sometimes I find a thing or two to pick up for gifts (I'm only Platinum--30% off.

Since you get a limo from airport to Bel, they will limo you back to the airport also. Just tell them in VIP the day before or early the day of departure what time you want limo pickup.

We don't eat high end elegant that much anymore. High prices, disappointing food too often. But, Jasmine is good...elegant service, good Asian food, prices not outrageous. The restaurant is right on the Fountains, music and all. Tip: It looks like tables at the back of the restaurant on the windows overlooking the fountains would be the play. Truthfully, not so. Mid room is much better. Haven't eaten in Prime in years, but most give it very good reviews.

Also, Bel has a special Sunday 'buffet' in the Jasmine restaurant which is reportely excellent. We are never there on Sunday, for some reason, so have never tried it.

Thanks Candy,

Actually- I did not know about the upgrade possibility so I will make the request at check in.
I also greatly appreciate the tip about dining. You are absolutely correct about the high end experience- often large prices on large plates holding small portions of so-so food.

My wife is a dedicated shopper so I suspect that will be touring the shops....

Regards,

Paul
Paul, I forgot about Olives at Bellagio, which is out in the hallway where the high end shops are (no 40% discount in those--LOL). Overall good food, prices not terribly high (not cheap though). I like their scallops. Flatbreads are good.

Try to get patio seating if you go at night (or at lunch, for that matter), very nice with the fountains going.

Also sending you a PM.
Thanks Candy
