April 21st to 28 Trip Report

Wed, day two.  We are diffinately bummed about the prevous day losses and we had a good talk over breakfast at Dupars at the Suncoast.  We were playing to win and not to have fun, so we didn't see how much the other was losing even though we were right next to each other.  so not like us  After breakfast we thought about playing bingo, but due to the remodlel the first game was at 11.  The remodel also pointed us the the bathroom in the bowling center which we discovered had great flat tops at the bar in there that we have never played.  No smoke in the morning, and good paytables at low levels were just what we needed to reset.  We played about even and decided to go to Red Rocks for lunch  and some play at the lucky bar for some minosas.

We ate lunch at the cafe at Red Rocks  for the cheese burger special, which was great.  Then played at the lucky bar and was staying about even when we got the great idea to go to Durango, because we were going to still have fun , and if it got ugly we could hit the Atm.  Durango was fun as we hit the bars for drinks and then played lower limits back on the floor.  We lost a little , but had a great time.

Dininer tonight was at Palace Station so we headed over there to pregame in the high limit room for some nice wine, and a little play.  We made a small profit and took our wine to the Charcoal room for half price point wed.   We split the chopped salad and bacon wraped shrimp, baked potato and large filet.  Great meal and service for about 45 bucks in points.

After Dinner we headed back to the Suncoast to chill out at the bars and call it an early night. We were both down for the day, but more in line with expectation.  life is good !

Day 3 thursday,  We headed out to Blueberry hills for breakfast, where we split the hamsteak and eggs with the toasted blueberry muffin  Plenty of food and was great as always.  Next we headed to the strip for some momosas at Park MGM.  Nothing was hitting for me so we moved to the Aria Gem bar .  Good drinks and some small wins.  Then on to the Ballagio for the sports book bar were we stayed about even before taking the tram back to Park MGM

We then headed Olive garden for an early dinner, and hit the ATM for safty sake, hoping that we won't need it.  Dinner was great, and we headed to Red Rock for the night.  First stop was the keno lounge were we go a way ticket for 6 spots for 20 games at a quarter a way..  The casino was busy as they had a big jackpot in the bingo room, and there was a line to get in that wrapped all the way past the sports book.  We were both on our game and had some nice hits, hopping from bar to bar.  We checked our keno ticket around 9 oclock expecting to reinvest , but we hit a 6 spot for a forth of the progressive for 631 dollars.  Things are looking up, so we ran it again.  We had a fun night bar hopping at Red Rocks and made a little money and the second keno ticket made 6 bucks.  We headed back to Suncoast to call it a night

Nice Keno hit.   Olive Garden is a must stop for us.  Will go there for lunch when we are in Vegas from 5/16-5/18.

nice tr, thanks

Day 4 friday, we checked out of the Suncoast and headed to the Westgate for the buffet.  We were able to park in the sportsbook lot for free wit no problems.  The buffet was good with the LVA coupon, but service was not.  Probably because the buffet was being discontinued and they were losing their jobs.  We didn't play there this time, bur walked around and saw that the APA national pool tournament was there and found out BCA is moving there next year from the Rio.

Next we went to Resorts world to use some free play, and have some momosas at the bar.  Drinks were good but nothing was hitting so we walked down to the Fontonbleu for some full pay keno at the bar and a few cocltails.  We both hit a 6 spot , but were only playing nickels, and ended up about 60 bucks a piece.  Then back to Resorts world for another hour before headinf to Green Valley Ranch.

We checked into Green Valley for 3 comped nights , so resort fee, with 125 in free play  The Room was great , and we played a little without hitting much.  Dinner tonight was Desomes at the Railroad Pass .  They now have to two for 50 dinner 7 days a week.  It is so good, and so much food.  We both had the Salmon with mashed potatoes with Asparasus.  It comes with a large salad or french onion soup, and both are really good., and green beans Almondine.  Also choice of desert to share.  We got the cheese cake to go.  You can also choose the steak or chicken instead of the salmon.  Totally worth the 12 min drive .

Back at Green Valley we tried to get our drink on, and got some live keno way tickets going using our Red Rock numbers.  We were not hitting much, so we went to bed early feeling fat and happy.  I will try to write more tomarrow.

Day 5 sat, we spent most of the day at Green Valley.  Breakfast was at the cafe, where we split the short stack of pancakes.. Our keno way 6 spots was a10 dollar loser so we changed numbers and reinvested.  We made some sports book bets, and decided to play ultimate x for the wife and extra draw frenzy for me  We both did pretty good, each up about a hundred.  She hit quad aces with a multiplyer and 3 other quads , one x 12.  I hit eleven quads, with 3 of them being 2s, but no kickers.  Lunch was back to the cafe for the cheese burger special, which is a great deal .  After lunch we hit the bartops, with no real luck.

We needed some freah air so decided to go to the Japanese place in front of Sunset Station.  The hibachi stations were full so we ate at a table, and was very good, and a lot of food.  They do have all you can eat sushi for 33 bucks.  We had salmon wit soup , salad, rice and a rainbow roll , for about 50 bucks.  After dinner we walked though Sunset Station and both put in 20  in a super times with no luck.  So back to Green Valley Ranch to get our drink on .We were hitting the bartops pretty hard, and I was changing games trying to find something that might work for me.  Well playing quarters in the high limit bar I hit 3 six spots on keno in 10 minutes for 12 hundred.  Pretty sweet, and turmed my trip around .  We celebrated with a few cosmos, and woodford and cokes, and called it a night

Really enjoying the trip report.  Sweet hit on those keno games.

If you a) play a significant amount of keno and b) are ahead, the gods are definitely smiling on you. I've played at Emerald Island during the times when they have all sorts of bonuses for 5/5, 6/6, etc. You can play 20 cards for a penny each and qualify for the bonuses. If you play during a point multiplier period, it's actually a +EV play (!!!).

Otherwise, I just can't abide the game, given that the absolute best paytables are only about 92%, and most are below 90%.

Have very much enjoyed your reporting on this trip.  Gee, your Keno results are, IMHO, atronomical!  Congratulations!

Day 6 sun, We headed to the Rainbow Club for breakfast.  We used the free coupon in the mailer for the denver omlet, which was pretty good with hashbrowns and bisket and gravey.  The cafe was packed.  We found seats at the bar and played for about 90 minites, with me breaking even , and the wife cashing out up over a hundred aflter hitting a 6 spot on keno, at 4 cents a card.  Next we went next door to The Pass to use 5 dollars in free play.  We both ended up a little, and decided to head downtown to use some food credit and free play at the Circa.

We were still kinda of full from breakfast so we just had chicken strips from Victory burger.  They were not very good.  The table next to use had the wings which looked awesome.  The place was busy with all the games on so we just played a little at the long bar downstairs for about 30 minites , with nothing hitting.  Just too busy and smokey downtown so we headed to Red Rocks to play.  We just booped around hitting a running on a few slots.  Won some and lost some.  The new firecracker game seems to be hot this trip.  It has an extra railroad bonus feature.

Next stop was The Martini for the steak special on sundays.  8 oz filet mashed potatos and asparagus for under 15 bucks  We played 10 cent at the bar and had a couple nice glasses of cab, but no hits.  We love this place.  NON SMOKING AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS ALWAYS GREAT.

After dinner we headed bak to Green Valley Ranch to play and get our drink on.  First we checked our live keno, and found we lost 10 bucks , so decided we were done for this trip  .  Still finished up over 6 hundred on live keno for the week, and always something to be excited about the posibilities.  The plan for the night was just take it easy and have a few drinks and get to bed early, because monday was a 10 times multipier day.   We started at the side ba rand started hitting  some , so we started bar hopping, hitting all 6 bars at least once, and it was one of those nights we just couldn't loose. We both ended up a few hundred, and trashed, and up until after 1.  We did remember to sign in for the 10 times after midnight.   Fun times.
