Aquarius for the afternoon and evening

Not totally off topic, a friend is recovering from covid.  He is a cop with a small police department, small town.  They all got tested.  He had no symptoms.  Was informed his test was positive, the only one that did.  Went into quarantine.  Two days later he started with the symptoms, losing taste and smell, weakness, shortness of breath, etc.  Spent one day in the hospital.  Is told he is  no longer contagious.  Yesterday he starts half days at work.  Happy to start back after two months of basic inactivity.  Has no idea where he was exposed.

What is strange to me is that his wife has never tested positive, no symptoms.  Thankfully, of course.  We just don't know everything about this virus, still.

Just as even in the worst pandemics, there are people who simply don't catch the bug du jour, there are doubtless millions of people who have been exposed to Covid on a daily basis but aren't infected. Their immune systems, for whatever reason, are already attuned to the virus and blow it away as soon as it tries to invade. And of course, if your immune system has that battle experience, it gets even tougher with repeated exposure.

Remember the convalescent plasma transplant therapy thing? That appears to have gone away, probably because of the current emphasis on vaccines, but I would hazard a guess that this guy's wife already had antibodies in her system and/or had a particularly tough immune system to begin with. Some people just don't get sick---I'm sure you know one or two. My dad never caught a cold, the flu, etc. for a single day of his life. I think that given his overall demeanor, pathogens took one look at him and fled for their lives.

Makes sense.  Thanks.
