Headed out to Vegas from Detroit for the annual World of Concrete trade show and talked my parents into joining me (wasn't too hard!) for combo business/pleasure trip.It is a great way to spend time with them alone every once in a while without all the other sibs,spouses,grandkids etc. around.Flew out on Spirit,sat in Big Front Seats and flight on time.....................ROOMS: They always stay at Paris so jumped on Bally offer for 4 comped nites and 300.00 free play.Checked in at Diamond desk and asked if any room in North with walkin shower and she said only Grand Suite had them and would try to get approval,back in minute and said no problem.gave here 20.00 and loved room.I am low Diamond but it was during the week,great room!................Gambling: played Quick Quads 9/5 DDB .25 10 play most of the week and did ok,only dealt QQ 2 times all week and ran approx 55,000 thru.I know I could find full pay in town however I prefer to stay on strip and like to play where I stay.Played some 3 card and Pai Gow poker.Cut my budget in half but all in all can"t complain....................Food:Had lunch at Sea Thai in Ballys and it was very good,Had 3 GREAT dinners.1st Stack at the Mirage.Had been there number of times and we all got the Brooklyn bone in filet,shared mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese.Used my M-Life comp dollars so tasted even better! 2nd at Mesa Grill at Caesars.Had the spiced pork w/ sweet potato tamale and it was as good as advertised.Finally ate at Joes Crab in Forum Shops.Had the Dover Sole and it was the best fish meal I ever had,can't wait to go back!.........................SHOWS: Went to see both the Red Skelton tribute and Frank and Barbara tribute shows at the Westin Causina.We all loved them both,the room holds about 100 people and the seats are very comfy.Great value using Goldstar.Finally we attended Vegas:The Show at the Miricle Mile shops in Planet Hollywood and enjoyed this most of all,lots of energy and the trip down memory lane was great..................All things considered it was a great trip with perfect balance of business and pleasure!Can't wait til next trip.Thanks for reading.Manny
