Bellagio, suite treatment

it was time for our annual summer Vegas vacation. We had what was a great offer for us from Bellagio, 3 nights in a suite and some free play and food. however we needed 5 nights so I decided to contact "our" host, I just picked the first one listed on the website and gave him a call. I asked what rate he could give us for the extra 2 nights so we don't have to hotel hop. He said he would comp us the 5 nights but in a standard room, ok deal, since we are not in the room much. we would love to try a suite sometime but free is free.
We leave on time on SW, change planes in Denver and head into Vegas. We are landing, I mean landing wheels just touching the ground when all the sudden the pilot revs the engines and up we go, and this is the day after the crash in San Fran. Our "woooohooo Vegas" turned into WTF WAS THAT????? I have flown a lot but never have the wheels been touching and the pilot changes her mind. She came on and said the winds were real strong and to many planes were landing at once. so we circle around for 25 min and try again....whew! safe.
We head off to Bellagio, hoping this is not a bad omen. We go to check in and the clerk says he has us in a suite for 5 nights all comped. Huh? yea, ok....Score!!!! I don't know who messed up but i'll take it!
The suite was beautiful. It even had a bidet. now I know what one is but have never used one so after a quick check on youtube on how to use a bidet, yes everything is on youtube, I give it a shot, WOWZA, I have never felt so clean and dirty at the same time. I love Vegas.
We head down to eat at the buffet. we love buffets and Bellagios is our favorite. after dinner we decide to use the free play. We play it on a boingy beans machine, it was 30 dollars a bet and way above our comfort zone but its free money so we go for it. we are down to the last 30 dollars and the beanies jumped into the right spot and BAM! $1500, 1st wg of the trip 3 hours into it.
the rest of the night was 2 goofballs walking around with goofy smiles.
Day 2 was suppose to be mostly lay by the pool and see a show but after breakfast I decided to play a little. I love the Sparacus machines. I never do well on them but love playing them. I am $200 down on old sparti when the gods smile upon me and I get 2 $800 hits in a row. damn maybe we should almost crash every trip.
the rest of the day was pool time and then it was off to Aria for the buffet and Zarkana. Aria has revamped their buffet and it shows. It was much better than before, good job guys. Zarkana was interesting. We have seen all the Cirq shows and the one seems to have acts from several in it. Like most cirq shows when it was over you really are not sure what you just saw but it was good! and the tickets were free from MYVEGAS so that made it even better. See mom playing stupid games does pay off.
Day 3 was to be a new little adventure for us. we have been coming to Vegas for years and tried to think of something we had not done, so we booked a helicopter tour. we were to leave at 6 p.m. at 5:30 I get a call and they cancelled it because no one else had booked it and they wont go with just 2 people, bummer. We decide to play and the misses is complaining that she has not hit anything yet. I am sitting at a "awesome burst" machine, losing and she asked why I keep playing it and I say "well if that awesome burst thing happens it could be good" so she sits down and within 3 spins gets the burst thing and hits for $2100, wg number 2, wooohoooo!
Day 4 was another morning of walking around and afternoon at the pool, very relaxing. we had tickets to the Blueman group at the Monte Carlo and head over. I love the Blueman group. I have seen their show 5 or 6 times and this is a new version and it did not disappoint. Some of the old bits some new ones, lots of fun. After the show we decide to play some and I lose and lose. I am just about to call it a night and stop by a new version of Monopoly. Glad I did $1900 and the 3rd wg.
Day five and we are tired. spent the day wondering around. it was cloudy and rainy and great for walking around. watched the fountains for the several shows and just enjoyed the whole evening.

Food, mostly buffets, Bellagio is still our favorite, we tried Caesars new one and it was good but way to expensive. it was $98 for the 2 of us for dinner.
Shows, Zarkana, good, typical cirq and Blueman was the Blueman, you either love or not and I do.

Gambling, 3 wg's, came home with some cash...Score!

Bellagio Suite, AWESOME!!! bidet...WOWZA!!!

Can't wait til the next trip.
Sounds like a fun trip. It seems you didn't do all that much gambling, but yet you were comped a suite??? How did you do that?
I had a similar landing in Vegas about ten years ago. Just as we were about to touch down the plane pulled up. The pilot came on the PA and said the winds were pretty strong and we would circle and try again. We landed on the second try, but it was the roughest landing I'd ever had and I'd flown a lot. As we taxied to the jet way the pilot showed his sense of humor. He announced we would be at the gate momentarily and for those who needed to use the restroom, it would be just to the right of the gate. To those who no longer needed the restroom, he apologized for the landing!

Good Luck!

our pilot did say "the roller coaster ride was comped"" lol

Wow. I can't believe how regular these landings are at LAS! About 3 years ago I had the same experience. Literally about 4 feet off the ground coming in for a landing the pilot just gunned the engines and up we went. We were told there was a plane in our way on the tarmac...are you kidding me? Trouble was, we were landing in a big rain storm with tons of lightening around the plane and I couldn't wait to get down and out of it. When he gunned the engines and we headed back up into the clouds my heart just sank. I haven't flown into LAS at night (when the atmosphere is more unstable) since.
I was also offered a suite at Belagio for a couple of nights. I was in the 'bump' right in the middle of the chevron building center fountain room. I had his and her bathrooms...how many toilets does one man need?...but I didn't do well that trip.

Sweet, a suite for 5 nights. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Smerrian, your comments reminded me when I landed at Midway during a thunderstorm. Could see the lightening in the clouds. Scary stuff.
