Biggest Win Ever

Nice report. Congrats on the scratch off. I'll be there in a few weeks and I think my chances of getting a big scratch card just went from slim to none.
Awesome! Never heard of anybody getting a scratch-off anywhere near that much. Wow! And so nice that all the employees were happy about it with you.

Congratulations on your big win, especially on the $5000 scratch card! I too had heard that one person a year finds it, but I figured it was about the gambling equivalent of saying someone has seen Bigfoot. You have restored my faith. :D

Yes, the Golden Nugget buffet blows, but the Fremont buffet is okay on seafood nights as long as you stick with the seafood. If you're willing to spring the money and time on the Strip, I highly recommend Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan. Just thinking about the roasted bone marrow there makes my mouth water.

I'm not a big fan of seafood. I just go for the shrimp.

As far as Wicked Spoon is concerned, I ate there last year and didn't think it was worth the price.
Wow, what a score! And to do it on your last day, when you're pretty much guaranteed to take the money home with you, is even sweeter. Congratulations on your wins and thanks for the very interesting report.

As for the food stuff, I'm just interested in people's opinions since I keep Kosher and can't eat at these places.

Where is the best Kosher deli in Las Vegas?

As far as I can see, no direct Kosher deli currently exists although Haifa Restaurant (which is on Twain and Swensen -- not far from the Strip) has Kosher Deli Sandwiches for lunch -- their website is at:
https://www.haifarestaurant.com/category/deli-sandwichs-fish/index.html and I seem to remember that Sababa Restaurant had Deli Sandwiches listed, but now their menu link does not list anything on the menu.

Places like Canter's, Stage Deli, etc. are not actually Kosher because they serve not only Meat and Dairy in the same meal (such as sandwiches with Meat and Cheese), which invalidates (nullifies) the Meat as being Kosher but they also tend to sell Ham and Bacon as well (which are never, ever Kosher)!

As for Matzo Ball Soup, Haifa Restaurant does have it as well (check their Soups and Pita Sandwiches link) and the new Las Vegas Gourmet Kosher And Bakery (which is in the Hawaiian Marketplace) also has it listed on their menu, but I don't think that they have other Deli Sandwiches.

Thanks.

Wasn't aware that Canter's and Stage weren't Kosher, until I remembered they serve bacon.

So it does exist ($5000 scratch off) I saw a picture of a winner once but thought it was like chasing Moby Dick
Michael Patricks is the name of the AC - GN coffee shop so it must be a Landry's house restaurant. Menu may change a little but food will be about the same.
I will look for your picture next time i'm in MSS.

Yes, that's the name of the new coffee shop. Cadillac Bar will have half the space and Michael Patrick's will have the other half.

Now if they'd just improve the buffet.............
