The birthday continues......strike 2 Bellagio.....July 12 - 16

Sunday morning hubby pressed the curtain buttons and I had my first morning view from our comfy bed. The fountains weren't going but there were guys out there in a little boat doing some work on them. We lounge around awhile and decide to use our express comps on breakfast at the Cafe. Hubby had eggs, I had pancakes with berries. The service and the food were very good and I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were. We went to find hubby's $1 top dollar machine to see how his luck would fare today. He put in a hundy and one mimosa (for me) later, he cashes out at a couple of hundred. I'm seeing a trend beginning and I honestly hoped it continued. I've said many times, my hubby's the best loser there is. His motto is I brought it to have fun with so if I had fun losing it, oh well. This is why we always come back for college football in Sept., that's where he tends to excel.

Before we leave Bellagio he goes to the front desk because there's no line (and when have you ever been there with no line?). He talks to a man @ the desk who is sympathetic and offers him a $100 food credit and assures us that if one of the lake view suites becomes available they would call. That credit would be used @ Circo that night.

We decide to go back to PH to play that game we saw on Friday, High Card Flush. We buy in for $200 each and the dealer tells us how to play. All seats are dealt 7 cards, even if no one is playing there. Dealer gets 7 cards. The object is tom get the best flush hand you can. The dealer has to have a 9 to qualify. Basically you play and 3 or more card flush if it's higher than a 9. There's a side bet that you get paid if you have a 4 or more card flush and another side bet for straight flush of 3 cards or more. If the dealer gets a straight flush it only counts as a flush since the straight flush is a side bet. It actually was quite fun. Everyone at our table was winning loads of money...except me. One guy had a 6 card flush with a 4 card straight flush. Hubby got one a few minutes later, I think his total win that hand was over $1000. Everyone at the table was winning black chips, one man had a few purple and a stack of blacks...and me....I lost $400 in 2 hours. Hubby left table with $1000 so he had made a nice profit.

We went to the ABC store to get more diet Dr. Pepper and stopped in the Paris room awhile, then back down to play slots, then to Ballys for 2x RC slots (we got our 125 tier bonus again on Sat. and Sun.) then about 5:30 we left to go back to the room @ Bellagio and rest up for dinner, our reservation was for 7:30. We get back to the room and the message light was on the phone. I call to get the msg and I'm told that they have a suite available, a penthouse suite and that we need to call the front desk. Now, that msg was left on our phone @ 12:53 pm and it's nearly 6:00 pm. Hubby calls down to ask about the move...and we're told, there's no penthouse suite available. Really? We had the name of the person that left the msg and he checked again and said, sorry no penthouse suite. Bellagio has NOT made brownie points with my hubby.

So, we get changed for dinner and head to Circo. We ordered the antipasti plate and it was very good. Hubby ordered some pasta that had lobster, scallops and shrimp and I ordered something that had a chicken ragu. Both dishes were very rich but good. I had 2 glasses of a very good chianti and we struck up a conversation with the wine sommelier. We really enjoyed our meal and they brought me a nice creme brûlée for dessert.

We went back to the room to watch more fountain shows, then back to Ballys for more 3 card poker. Hubby gained his platinum status back for next year that night, I had mine back on Friday. About midnight we'd had enough and went back to Bellagio to crash. It was a great day. Nice dinner, nice win for hubby. Me, not so good but I wasn't down that far, so was happy.

Monday would be our last full day.....more tomorrow.
Nice hit for hubby!!! Thanks for posting
Very nice, thank you for the report! And that's great that your husband got another nice trip and that you didn't end up down much!
