I completely forgot that Sunday night we didn't go back to the Bellagio early, we went to Paris around 12:30 a.m. and played 3 card poker. We were there until nearly 3:00 a.m., which is the latest we've stayed out in years. Hubby was getting some pretty nice hands and I was holding my own. There was a girl @ the table that had been there since the shift came on at something like 7:00 pm and she just kept losing and losing and she would pull another $100 bill out of her purse. She kept saying she needed to leave to drive back to California. About 2:30 she got up and left. The out boss said she had bought in for over $1000 since she'd been there. A guy who had been sitting next to me finally left after saying he'd lost $1400 at that table. I wouldn't lose that much at one table I would have moved. We did see the Cali girl at another table as we were leaving.
We woke up later than normal due to our late night. I've been wanting to try wicked spoon but wasn't feeling to hot, think I had too much wine with dinner! We went to the buffet and let's just say we were completely underwhelmed. I know the new individual portion think is all the range, but you have to put food out. In the breakfast area there was a sign that said scrambled eggs and cheddar, but there was one sad bowl of them that looked like they had been there awhile. The line for omelets was ridiculous. I ordered a sprite to settle my stomach and our waitress never came back once to refill our drinks. This is part of the reason hubby always asks for 2 teas @ buffets when he first sits down. Anyway, the food selections were weird. The best part about the whole thing was dessert. I'm a sucker for a good coconut macaroon.
After our disappointing brunch we decided it was time for me to win some $$ so it was back to PH for more high card flush. "I'm only losing $200 here today" I said....well 4 hours later I had lost $400. Oh well. We played with a guy we had played with Sunday, he said he'd won quite a bit playing it overnight. No one was winning stacks of black chips on Monday but we were having a good time.
We decided to go back to the room and watch some more fountain shows before we went back to Ballys to play. At balllys we hit the 2x RC machines again, the decided to learn crazy 4 poker, which neither of us cared for. Around 9 we decided we were hungry so we went to Le Burger Brasserie, it's always good. After we ate we played 3 card for a few more hours then decided that our 4:30 wakeup call was coming early so at 11 we went back ton the room at Paris and filled out the express checkout and got back to the Bellagio suite in time for the last 2 fountain shows of the night. We really enjoyed the nightly turn down service and chocolates by the bedside. I could get used to this.
Tuesday a.m. We went down to check out, hubby wasn't done expressing his disappointment, and they ended up comping the resort fees. I just felt so bad for him, he went to so much trouble to make all these plans to make my 50th special. He's generally quite a laid back guy. I assured him that I did indeed have a wonderful trip and that he had made my birthday something to remember. I teased him that I now had 2 years to plan HIS 50th.....
Our regular driver from Presidential picked us up @ 5:45 and we were off to the shortest lines ever @ McCarran. Hubby had a great trip, the very first time he's come home with more bankroll then he started with. I, on the other hand, did not. I did however have a wonderful time so I didn't really care. Also, part of our Vegas ritual is whoever has the most money left at the end of the last night has to buy the box of candy @ Ethel M in terminal C, pay for the parking when we get home, spring the Springer from the puppy spa AND buy pizza for dinner since we're too pooped to cook. I'm happy to say that hubby has had to do this twice this year. Quite a feat since this has been our ritual for 6 years and he's never had to pay before!
So our next trip is already booked, 3 nights in Sept. for some college football betting. I'm hoping he has the trifecta this year! We did both earn the 125 extra TR's each day for our play. I might possibly hit Diamond this year but I'm not going to chase it, if it happens it happens.
Thanks to all that read these and thanks to those that post them for ME to read.
