Birthday Trip 3/12 - 03/18

Got back from LV on Saturday from my birthday trip. Had some hits and some misses.

First of all, couldn't believe how busy it was, people everywhere!!!

Stayed at M Resort. Great resort, nice staff, beautiful rooms, and I won $100.

One of the biggest misses was the Wicked Spoon Buffet. Went for lunch, $ 45.00 for two. Started off with the hostess wanting to sit us near the restrooms. When I asked her to sit elsewhere, she was shocked. She said we would have to wait until another table was available. I pointed out an empty table, she has wait for three minutes while she checked with manager. She spent the entire lunch glaring at us.

The concept of the buffet was great. I thouht all the individual servings was a nice idea. Too bad the food was bland and tastless. The desserts looked great, but they were not. The chocolate covered strawberries were covered with the cheapest chocolate. We ended up breaking it off and just eating the strawberries. Will not return.

The M Resort buffet is still the best in my book.

Cosmo and City Center were awesome!!!

We tried the coupon deal at Terribles and Flamingo. Didn't do anythning at either. Had some great luck at Silverton. Not a bad place.

Can't wait to go back.

Sorry you endured the stare from the Cosmo hostess. Seems someone may need some more training!
I agree with your assessment though of the buffet - interesting concept still needs improvement.
Thought the M resort was awesome too. Glad you won and thanks for writing.

You've reinforced my thoughts of not bothering with the Wicked Spoon. First of all, the price is outrageous and yours is not the second or third thumbs down I've read. Even the LVA has suggested that the Aria buffet is the better overall deal. I also like the M Buffet...they simply have to figure out how to get that line moving faster.

I also really like the Silverton. If only their VP had better schedules.

Doesn't take much toleave a bad impression, does it? Your request was a simple one that should have had a simple solution, instead the glaring ruined the experience. Shame.

Thanks for report and the reveiw on the Wicked Spoon. I will be there in May and was thinking of trying it. Not too sure now! I agree about the M Buffet. Yummy!

Thanks for the report. I've read so many glowing reports about the stellar customer service at the Cosmo. I guess this gal missed employee orientation and training. I agree that $45 for 2 for a LUNCH buffet, the food and CS should be top notch. Thanks for the warning.
