Great report, Jon - Thanks. Love all the pictures of my favorite places, too. Island Sushi is great -- too bad it was closed early evenings when we were there. Also enjoyed Terry Fator much more than I thought I would. We had lousy seats (2nd row waaaaay to the left), but I will go back for a second try closer to the middle -- My fav machine is the Indiana Jones at Elco by the lobby bar. Tell me it's still there, please......

Hey, Kris. Good to know that there's another Island Sushi fan out there. Hawaiian is an important Vegas food group for me, just like Steak and Shrimp Cocktail.

Not sure about the slots inventory at the El. Do they have a slot machine locator on their website?

Jon- is that a hint to post some?

Thanks Jon for the report as well as for the great photos and it was great to finally meet up with you. It's too bad that Linda2244 wasn't Downtown when I was.

As for my trip, it was the opposite of yours. Although by the end of my first night there (Monday night 3/11), I was up about $250, after that, things just slowly but surely went downhill and by the time I was done (late Wednesday afternoon [3/13]), I recorded a trip loss of about $160.

Both Blackjack and VP were not good with me with the exception of some sessions on 10/7 DB between the D (where I also got a Straight Flush on Monday evening) as well as at El Cortez (where one session I ended up getting the Deuces).

My next visit probably won't be until early June at the earliest.

Sorry your trip wasn't more profitable; I guess the SF and the deuces must have taken the sting out of it, anyway. The long run is a good place to be, though.

Hopefully we'll catch up again out there!

Great TR - you got some nice hits and good MY Vegas comps. We just redeemed four free nights at NYNY and a $50 dining credit to Monte Carlo. However, unlike you, I do plan I giving them some action when we're there .

Thank you for posting. There are never enough posted. We will be there the first weekend in May and a trip report is at the top of my to do list.
