Actually, we are penny slot players. Peggy plays about $ .75 - $ .90 a spin and I play about $1.25 to $1.50 per spin so we are not big players and I have no idea what we did to deserve this comp. I know that the first free room was a Limo/Taxi driver promotion that Cosmo created immediately after they opened so that drivers would know about the property and spread the word. We only played a couple hours on that first trip so I don't know where this offer came from, but I'm not complaining!
Cosmopolitan does have free play. It was another mailer that we received that a certain amount of play would give us $5 in "Identity Play" which is their name for free play. After the first day I went up to the players club and I had accumulated $50 in free play and Peggy had accumulated $15. Before we checked out, we went up again and I had accumulate $55 more and Peggy $20. This was in addition to our initial $300 in free play which was in my name but naturally I shared it with Peggy. A husband's gotta do what he's gotta do!
Also, anything you spend at the resort (room charges, food, spa, etc.) goes onto your account as points. Everything is integrated. As a matter of fact, if you are staying there you don't need your players card as your room key also serves as a players card.
As far as outcome, Peggy was actually a little ahead for the trip. She kept getting nice jackpots at Cosmopolitan. I lost, but did well on my free play at M the day we checked out.
P.S. - Take a close look at the picture on the wall in the living room (4th photo).
