my wife denise is good friends with sandy, the mother of nick, who was on so you think you
can dance but was voted off. blah blah everyone thought he would win.
last wednesday 10-12 there was a tour that hit chicago with the dancing troupe.
denise, sarah the daughter, and jane a good friend, had tix from sandy, nick's mom above.
tom, jane's husband, and i, wayne, dropped the ladies off at all state arena just by
o'hare. tom and i had several hours to kill.
as an aside. i live in milwaukee and wanted to go to potomonomi casino by myself tonight.
denise would be at the show, and i could have a nice meal and gamble.
pu
anyway. tom and i went to the grand victoria in elgin. i have not been there in years.
it is an original river boat. two decks. poker room downstairs with slots and a bar, which
will be referred to late in this tr.
tom and i arrived around 6:30. we took a tour of the place. it's not big. they do have
$15 bj and $5 craps with 100 odds.
i told tom i would check out the vp. he went to play craps.pe
there is only $1 single play and .25 3/5......etc. i sat at a $1 machine and picked bonus.
it was 6/5. i put in $200 and played for a bit. after about ten minutes i thought to myself
what the heck am i playing this game for. i don't have a card for the property and am not
putting points onto anything.
my $200 was at $130. before this i told myself i'd leave down only $100 and play craps.
a few hands ago i had four to the royal and missed. this hand I had JKQA of clubs. threw
them away. not really. held them and the 10 came up for a $4,000 royal. i realized it
right away and just smiled. the machine wasn't going crazy. just the call attendant message.
people congrats me while i waited. i said thanks. i have seen people win and have congrats
them. i really mean it. it is hard to win at the casinos.
the lady comes by. i give her my license. no SS # on file here. she brings back cash. i tell her
i forgot to tell her i would like a check for the amount. no problem. ten minutes later i sign for
the $. tip her $60. 20 was too low, 100 too much to me.
play off the 130 down to 100. lost 100 dammit.
find tom playing craps. of course i missed the 30 minute roller guy. now i have two hours to kill.
buy in for 200 and bet the minimums with odds. no one had a good roll when i was on the table.
i only hit one number when i shot.
an interesting thing here is when you are the shooter if you can establish and hit
all six numbers you will get paid $4000. only for the shooter. i walked up and the shooter
had hit five and needed the ten. he didn't establish it and crapped out.
anyhoo.....i lost $35 at craps. we had about 25 minutes. played $1 bonus vp again. won $100.
played some slot. won $32.
left and picked up the girls. they had a nice night. me too! got home around 11:30 and to bed.
felt good.
2nd $1 royal. always a surprise.
oh, the bar. you can only buy one drink per person here in a certain amount of time. i was going
to get tom and myself a beer. could not do it. bought tom his and brought it to him. i went
downstairs and bought mine. didn't bother me. the law is the law.
