Day 2 - Rituals, Diamonds, sausage dresses and football

The first football game we watch is OU/Tulsa. Hubby was born and raised in Austin and what team is his favorite? Yep, OU. We watch the game, talk to the tv, tell them how to coach and enjoy the first half. At half time it's time for me to gamble. I've decided that I'll watch a game til half time, take $200 down to my $1 slots and see how I do accumulating tier credits. I leave hubby in the room to flip around watching other games. I sit down and put my first hundred and and play for what seemed to be a short amount of time but had earned some decent TC's. I lose that one, then move to another machine and in goes the hundy and it seems to not take me very far. Grrrr, this 2500 TC's may be harder than I think, but I know once hubby is done watching football, he's going to help. I go back to watch the 2nd half of the game, hubby said "that was fast" and I said "yes, it was!". The second half had me a little worried, OU came very close to not covering the spread but pulled it out in the end. First football win for me!

The next game we watch is Alabama/A&M. We are NOT A&M fans at all so anyone that beats them is good with us. Very good first half, I napped a little, cussed the aggies a little, then it was half time. See ya! Me and my $200 (actually $202, I was hoping for cocktail service) are going back to Ballys. I put in the first hundy and play for quite awhile, racking up the TC's. I'm liking this machine even though I just played through a hundy so I deposit another. It runs down to $50 in a hurry so I cash out and move back to the first machine I started at that morning. I put my ticket in and it starts hitting on a regular basis. No really big wins but it keeps me playing and racking up the credits. Finally I realize I want to see Bama beat A&M so I cash out and gonback to the room. By the time I get there the 4th qtr had begun. Hubby said "how'd it go", I said "ok" as I drop 5 hundys on the table in front of him. So, not only am I up a hundy for the day, I'm inching closer to at least getting the 1000 TC bonus for the day. Bam a pulls out the win but doesn't cover the spread so I lose that bet but that's ok, the aggies lost so all is right with the world.

After that game it just became a blur of games because I didn't really care too much about any of the other games until the Texas/Ole Miss game and it wasn't televised so we couldn't watch it anyway. I cat napped, watched a quarter of a game, napped again, then I was done, I had TC's to chase. Hubby had been in the room long enough, he wanted out so off we go to the $1 machines @ Ballys. I go back to the machine that had been kind earlier and played kong enough to get my 1000 bonus. Hubby puts a hundy in a wild cherry machine and plays and plays. His $$ lasts quite awhile and in that time he's accumulated another 500+ TC's for me. We move to the top dollar machines and get closer to the 2000 TC mark for the day. Not bad considering between the 2 of us we only lost about $300 in this whole time. We did see on one of the tv's that Texas had lost so we went to Paris to cash our winning tickets, we both had made straight bets on Texas losing. By the end of the night, that was the only football bet hubby one. I lost all my parlays so I really only lost $60 on football. I'm ok with that.

Hunger sets in so it's back to the coffee shop @ Paris. I'm thinking it's about 4:30 since they had not changed to the dinner menu. I had the soup and half chicken salad sandwich and hubby had the French dip. We also split a Caesar salad, they have one of the better ones, not dripping in dressing.

We are a little slot crazy by this time so we run over to play high card flush at PHo. We both bought in for $200 each and ended up playing for a few hours, a nice break even though we didn't leave with much of our buy in.
Back to Ballys and in check in @ total rewards and was told I was just a few hundred TC's away from the magic 2500 for today. Back to the dollar slots and we both pick our favorite machines and count down...or up....we really had some good runs and by about 11:30 we had hit the 2500 TC's for the day, so with the 5000 bonus credits I would be diamond when they posted them to my account. Hooray! I will say that we may have gambled a bit more aggressively that day, but didn't spend any more gambling money than we would in a normal day. I normally play a few dollar slots then piss the rest away in penny slots. This time I played $1 machines with a purpose! Happy campers, we went to play a little 3 card poker, then went back to the room.

AGAIN as we head to Paris, we encounter more and more women in sausage dresses, most heading in the direction of Chateau Nightclub. I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about. They are the dresses that are sometimes crinkly material, sometimes not but are skin tight like a sausage casing and so short butt cheeks are in danger of showing. Let's just say that MOST of the ladies we saw in them had no business wearing them. Ladies, just because you CAN get in it, doesn't mean you should. Oh and there should be an age limit on them in the store, i did see a few women well into their 60's trying to pull them off. Now I'm not prude or anything and am a firm believer in if you've got it flaunt it, but some things shouldn't be flaunted. It makes you wonder if they even LOOK in the mirror before they leave their rooms. There was this one group of 4 gals that were in varying styles of red dresses that we watched pull and tug their dresses every 4-5 step they took. We did pass one girl that looked to us like she was "working" and she just let it all hang out with no reservations! Ok, enough of my observation of night life fashion!

Last day, tomorrow.
Yes I have seen ladies in those dresses, usually tugging at the back to keep their butt's covered!! I know that cannot be comfortable. I have also seen this same group of "lovelies" at 5 am after a night of drinking and looking like a mess with wild hair, sloppy make up and still tugging at their dresses!! Not a good look at all.
Very interesting! Thanks for that report and good going on not suffering too much damage in trying for your RC goal.
